Excited for Injustice: Gods Among Us?  Well you should be, not only did it win our award for Best Fighting Game at E3, but it has Ed Boon and the Mortal Kombat team assembling this superpowered fighter.  And now, two more DC icons are entering the fray.

Announced as part of the game’s presence at San Diego Comic-Con, Nightwing and Cyborg will be joining the fighting game, developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros.  As part of the reveal, a batch of screenshots showing off the new combatants in all their detailed glory.  Check them out below to see the two new fighters put their foes into some precarious situations.

Having had the chance to play the game, I am very curious to see how these two flow in combat, but I’m definitely intrigued by what’s on display.  Nightwing’s electrified attacks look quite painful, and Cyborg not only appears to pack a punch but looks incredible doing it.  If you’re on the show floor, be sure to check out the game at DC Entertainment‘s booth - #1915.

For those not at the show, you will have to wait until 2013 to get your superhero throwdown on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.  Until then, check out our impressions of the game from E3 and let us know in the comments who you would like to see added to the roster.
