Howdy, stranger! According to Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, the multiplayer, cel-shaded, guntastic Borderlands 2 has gone gold, putting it right on track for its release date. 2K is sending gamers back to Pandora to take on Handsome Jack, the game’s antagonist. The title will feature a mountain of guns, split-screen support for consoles, reworked AI, four-seat vehicles, and a whole slew of new features.
Did I mention guns? I feel like I didn’t mention them enough. The game will have lots of guns. Borderlands 2 will have more guns than you can shake a gun at, so you might as well go ahead and throw that gun in the pile, too.
Borderlands 2 hits Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in North America on September 18th.
