GAEMS, Inc., makers of portable solutions for consoles, is currently accepting pre-orders for their newest product: an exclusive series of the new G190 Vanguard Personal Gaming Environments, styled after the United Nations Space Command of the Halo universe. Available only through Amazon.com, this limited edition is priced at $349.99 and will be shipped on Halo 4‘s release date: November 4th, 2012.
The new G190 Vanguard is an official, sanctioned product, built in partnership with 343 Industries (caretakers of the Halo series). It represents a major upgrade from GAEMS’ previous product, the highly successful G155 Sentry. As a personal gaming environment, it has almost everything a console player needs to play their favourite games, short of a power supply and couch. Most importantly, it features an integrated high definition LED display with HDMI connection, together with integrated stereo speakers and dual 3.5 mm headphone jacks. The design includes storage bags for controllers, power supplies and other accessories, dual-straps and fitted foam base to secure the console in place, while allowing for proper ventilation, all held together in a rugged case with interior LED lighting. The case is designed to hold either an Xbox 360 or a PS3 Slim.
A separate point worthy of mentioning is the design. This exclusive edition is styled to look like a piece of equipment taken straight from the stores of Halo‘s UNSC, with unique faction insignia and branding on the case, remote control and shoulder strap. The design includes a removable center badge on the case exterior to allow future customization. In case a gamer needs spare decorations, an exclusive Halo 4 sticker sheet featuring UNSC and UNSC Infinity insignia and the game’s logos is bundled with the set for good measure.
