This is brilliant. Plastic Piranha today announced that, not only is their upcoming FPS now listed in Steam’s new GreenLight program, but those eager for the gritty back-to-basics shooting mechanics the game offers can ensure beta access. All you have to do us up-vote the game on GreenLight here.
At first glance, this seems like out and out bribery. But a second look reveals that… yeah… it’s bribery. However, it’s the smartest kind. Giving people beta access in exchange for a vote that might mean the game becomes available to actually purchase in final form via Steam is in complete alignment with the entire concept of Valve’s latest endeavor.
If you are interested in shooting people before everyone else, all you need to do is follow these simple steps:
- Like the game on GreenLight (right here)
- Take a screenshot as proof
- Email the screenshot to firstname.lastname@example.org
Pretty simple, right? If you want to get a look at the mayhem you’ll be getting yourself into, check out the trailer straight from PAX below.
