Well here’s something a bit different. Square Enix is currently developing a mobile, touch-based rhythm game called Demon’s Score. I could attempt to describe it to you, but words wouldn’t do it quite the same justice as a video. Make sure to stick around to its end, where you’ll see how mechanically crazy the game gets.
Bated breaths; dialogue lacking the rhythm of actual speech; House of the Dead style monsters- this is a Japanese game for sure. As it claims “rhythm game” as its main genre, the question of who will be providing the music is of great importance. Luckily, Square Enix sent over a press release detailing that Yoko Shimomura, Keiichi Okabe, ZUNTATA, Naoshi Mizuta, Ryo Yamazaki, and Kohei Tanaka will be amongst the contributors; note that this is not a full list of the composers involved.
Demon’s Score arrives this fall on iOS and Android.
