Look, I’m running out of ways to say Assassin’s Creed III holds a great deal of promise.  Take an already popular series, combine it with one of the most interesting periods in American history and revamp much of the gameplay, and Ubisoft has on their hands one of the most anticipated titles of the year.  Now that we’re in the release month, the promotional push is ramping up, as evidenced by the latest trailer.

The short video, which you can view below, puts the focus squarely on the latest assassin to take the spotlight, Connor.  The aim for the title appears to be to detail much of his life, from early childhood into his more lethal years.  It’s an interesting step to take, as critics lauded Assassin’s Creed II for showing Ezio from his birth through adulthood, but there seems to be even more of an emphasis on detailing Connor’s life.

Let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments and sharpen your (virtual) assassin’s blades for the game’s release on October 30 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, November 18 for Wii U and November 20 for PC.
