Scribblenauts is one of those special series that is a huge hit in my house. It’s on every iDevice in my house, and my daughter and I quickly devour every new world added to that version. That’s why Scribblenauts Unlimited from 5th Cell and WB Interactive is one of our most anticipated Wii U launch titles.

In addition to encouraging more of the creative problem solving that makes Maxwell’s worlds so much fun to explore, Unlimited will be adding some interesting convenience features like storing previously created items and a multiplayer mode that puts object control in the hand of a gamer wielding the Wii remote. The most exciting addition is the object creator, which will no doubt inspire lots of laughs.

Gamestop is currently running a pre-order promotion, with gamers taking home a replica of Maxwell’s iconic rooster hat in red, his twin sister Lily’s in pink or Maxwell’s doppelganger’s in blue. Additionally, for those looking for a more portable experience, there will be a Gamestop-exclusive 3DS bundle that comes with the game, a pencil-shaped stylus and a silicone protective case.

Scribblenauts Unlimited arrives on 3DS, PC and Wii U on November 13. That’s right, you can stare longingly at Maxwell for five days before you can play with him on Nintendo’s shiny new console.
