Originally planned for released today, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs was moved to 2013 earlier this year and has decided to make up for the delay by releasing a tense Halloween trailer. Watch it here:
Rarely do I see a trailer so accurately portray what makes the game it’s representing great. The refusal to have a jump scare and instead focus on the sound design, limited vision and atmosphere of the game is exactly what gives both the trailer and the original Amnesia its frightening power. The ominous conversation at the end of two gentleman deciding what exactly can they kill to power some enigmatic machine is also effectively creepy.
The game remains without a release date details beyond “early 2013.” Sigh.
