With the Wii U launch just a few days away, the age old console launch question has reared it’s adorable head. “What game are you going to play first?” For me, it’s a toss-up. Do I go for first-person zombie action with ZombiU or play something a bit more family… hold on, my wife just told me that if the kids have nightmares, she’s making me deal with it. OK. Plan B.

My other most anticipated game for the console’s launch is Scribblenauts Unlimited. The truth is that the series is near and dear to my heart. My daughter and I worked our way through the iOS release, Scribblenauts Remix together, playing a few levels each night before she went to bed. We purchased the World Pass, and when that notification pops up that there are new levels are available, I know exactly what I’m going to be doing right before 8 PM every night.

There’s no doubt that we’ll be playing this one together, and the launch trailer gives us a glimpse of the innovations that 5th Cell has lined up for this latest iteration. Create your own objects! Share them with your friends! Slay a dragon!

Scribblenauts Unlimited is available now for 3DS and, yes, even for the Wii U (even though you can’t really do much with the disc… yet).
