PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale launches next week, but the game’s first downloadable characters have already been revealed. In a post on the PlayStation Blog this morning, Seth Killian revealed that the first DLC for Sony‘s upcoming brawler will take the form of Gravity Rush‘s heroine Kat, and Starhawk‘s Emmett Graves. The fighting styles of these two have also been hinted at: for her part, Kat will be able to move around the arenas in a unique way, in order to enable her to perform her signature aerial assault, while Emmett will be able to utilize the ‘Build-in-Battle’ mechanic to call down help from above. What exactly this will look like is unclear, but it still sounds pretty cool.

The other piece of news regarding the characters is that they’re free. Yep, when these two characters are completed, they’ll go up for download, and you’ll be able to grab them free of charge. However, this free download will only be available for two weeks after they are placed on the PlayStation Store. If you download these two in that window, then they’re yours to keep at no charge. What happens if you miss the window (i.e, what the price of these characters will be once the two week free period is up) wasn’t explicitly detailed in the post.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale launches next Tuesday, November 20th, on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
