Namco Bandai today released the first of a series of behind the scenes videos for Ridge Racer: Unbounded.

The video features words from a few of the members of the Unbounded team, some gameplay footage and real life drifting. Check it out below.

True Crime: Hong Kong’s Successor is ‘Sleeping Dogs’ – Debut Trailer, Screens and More

Square-Enix today revealed Sleeping Dogs as the latest game in the True Crime series. Activision is out, Squeenix is in, and so is the new title. Dig it?

Sleeping Dogs puts players in the shoes of of undercover cop Wei Shen, tasked with taking down the criminal Triads from the inside out. It will take place on the island of Hong Kong and the story will deal with themes like loyalty and betrayal.

Much is being hyped about Sleeping Dog’s Imaginative combat system. Supposedly, combat will seem natural and players will easily be able to perform martial arts from an extensive list of moves and easily pull off other tasks such as shooting while driving.

Like previous games in the True Crimes series it will be an open world. According to Square, “every street corner, market stall, harbour dock or city skyscraper can become an opportunity for intense shoot-outs, adrenaline-fuelled street races and intense, brutal martial arts combat.”

SSX Trailer Shows Off Global Events and In-Game Collectibles

Ooh, a new trailer for SSX! If you missed it, here’s the trailer for the first part of their Online Features series. If you have seen it, then welcome to in-the-know land, populated by you and myself. Cozy, am I right? Not as cozy as the alps, or antarctica, or any of the other amazing peaks you’ll be shredding down, around, into, over and other prepositional phrases with respect to SSX‘s awesome online features.

This trailer, first of all, wubstep, discusses Global Events and Geo Tags. SSX skips the traditional lobby system in favor of an ongoing events style system in the form of Global Events. There are live tournaments all over SSX‘s peaks and runs each with their own cost of entry (sometimes free, sometimes super duper expensive), duration of availability, and reward. They all have different criteria and settings, for instance some may say “No rewind”, or some may require armor or any other gear featured in the game. The more people who join the tournaments with costs and pot-style rewards, the bigger the payout. Players can also created their own custom events for themselves and their friends to compete in and even earn credits for.

The last bit of info covers geotags, a sort of player-driven collectibles feature which gives players the option to place a geotag anywhere on any level, earning them credits until a friend finds it. Ultimately not the most important thing ever, but it could work as sort of a Dark Souls-esque tool, placing geotags in front of really good jumps, shortcuts, or cliffs sending your friends to their doom. Who doesn’t want to send their friends to their doom?

Capcom released a new trailer and one screenshot to show off Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the PS Vita. The trailer shows a number of fighters in action including Dead Rising‘s Frank West. You have to admit, it does look pretty damn sweet on Sony’s handheld system.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Gameplay Trailer Captures the Essence of the Classic Film

Aliens: Colonial Marines is the bold upcoming shooter by Gearbox and Sega that declared itself as a true sequel to James Cameron‘s classic Aliens.

Does it have what it takes to do the film justice? I have to admit, the trailer does a good job in capturing the essence of the classic film. Watch the gameplay video below and comment.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is scheduled to release sometime this fall on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

PS Vita Mortal Kombat is Vicious – First Brutal Gameplay Footage

The PlayStation Blog put up a video which features the brutal gameplay of Mortal Kombat on the PS Vita. Never before has Kombat on a portable screen looked so good. MK on the Vita involves not just the standard use of buttons, but also includes the use of the touchscreen and other specific features.

The PS Vita version adds an ambitious array of extra content, starting with every piece of DLC ever released on PS3. That means you’ll be able to play as Freddy Krueger, Kenshi, Rain, and Skarlet from day one, and select MK1 and MK2 retro-styled costumes to drape over your male and female ninja characters. The Vita version sweetens the pot with 15 more exclusive costumes, including MK3-styled garb for the ninjas.

Ubisoft Releases First Gameplay Trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier “Only The Dead Fight Fair.”

Today Ubisoft handed us this fantastic trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Set to release on May 22nd, the game features high tech gadgets, advanced weaponry, and the ability to cloak like a Predator.

For those of you who have not been keeping tabs on this release, Future Soldier is fourth in the Ghost Recon series, where players will be taking the roles of various members of a four man team as they tackle an extremist Russian force, which has taken control and started invading nearby countries. The game will be a third person shooter, with the action switching to the first person point of view as you aim down the sights, and will also feature a partially destructible environment.

Another feature confirmed to be in the game is Kinect compatibility, allowing the player to use voice and motion to not only control the game, but also customize character weapons, as seen in this video.

There is a new trailer hitting the interwebs today for Trials Evolution. Methinks it got leaked early, just as they unfinished game leaked recently, because it keeps getting taken down.

I’m not why they’s want to take it down because it is AWESOME. Besides showing INCREDIBLE bike action, you’ve got THRILLING multiplayer and an INSANE Creation System (Yes, I am that psyched after watching said trailer). Watch the trailer below.

New Motorstorm RC Trailer Details Competitive Online Play

Motorstorm RC launches with the PS Vita in Europe on February 22, the North American release date has not been made public. A PS3 version is also in the works.

Bethesda Releases an Impressive Creation Kit & Skyrim Workshop Preview Video

Bethesda has released a new video preview to show off their upcoming Creation Kit and Workshop for the PC version of Skyrim. The video shows many of the Creation Kit’s features including an ability to build archives.

The Creation Kit offers the same suite of tools that Bethesda Game Studios used to create The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and will be a free download via Steam. With Skyrim Workshop, you can browse and search for the latest or highest rated mods, subscribe to any that interest you, rate your favorites and post feedback. Once you’ve subscribed to some mods, start the Skyrim launcher and you’ll see your subscribed mods automatically download. The launcher will even check if a mod has been updated and grab the latest version.

EA and 38 Studios released a launch trailer for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

With an all-star creative cast including Ken Rolston (lead designer of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion) as executive designer, fantasy author R.A. Salvatore as the creative force behind the game’s universe, Todd McFarlane (creator of Spawn and legendary artist) as leading artist, and Hall of Fame pitcher Curt Schilling (owner of 38 Studios), anticipation for this game is at fever pitch.

FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 Launch Trailer and Future DLC Detailed

Square-Enix‘s Goal with Final Fantasy XIII-2 is to bring the series back to its’ former glory by fixing some of the problems from FFXIII. The launch trailer is about what you would expect from a Final Fantasy trailer: colorful and detailed graphics, a solid musical score, and overdone Japanese characters. Which is not to say it is bad, just what you would expect.

What came with the trailer in the press release is what is interesting: details on future DLC. The first DLC is titled Lightning & Amodar which will be available for on February 7th for Xbox Live and February 8th on PSN. This DLC will include a Coliseum where players can fight characters from previous Final Fantasy titles and, once defeated, can be enlisted into the player’s party.

Future DLC will give players the opportunity to explore secrets through story episodes for some of the other key characters to compliment and fill in the story of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Specific details and release dates have not been disclosed.

SQUARE ENIX also announces that extensive additional downloadable content is planned for FINAL FANTASY® XIII-2, for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation® 3.

The planned content includes Coliseum Battles that pit the player against friends and foes from previous FINAL FANTASY titles, that, when defeated can be recruited into the player’s party. The Coliseum battle entitled ‘Lightning & Amodar’ will be available for Xbox 360 on 7th February via Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and on 8th February for PlayStation® 3 via PlayStation® Network. In addition, there will be opportunity to explore the game’s secrets through story episodes for some of the key characters, such as Lightning which complement the narrative of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. Full details on each piece of content will be revealed at a later date.

NeverDead Launch Trailer is Zany, a Little Gory and Fun

Konami and Rebellion Developments have released a launch trailer for their supernatural shooter NeverDead.

NeverDead has an interesting premise. The protagonist is an immortal and can survive severe injuries. Over time, the player will lose body parts and will have to collect the removed limbs by rolling into them. This latest trailer displays this interesting gameplay mechanic with a little backstory and plenty of flair.

Mass Effect 3′s Star-Studded Voice Cast Revealed in New Trailer

EA and Bioware have released a new video for Mass Effect 3, which reveals the star-studded voice cast. In the video you will see Martin Sheen returns as the Illusive Man, Seth Green as Joker, Ali Hillis as Liara and Jennifer Hale as your Female Sheppard. Freddie Prinze Jr is a new addition and IGN’s Jessica Chobot voices new character Diana Allers.
