Michael Geslani, Contributor (San Jose)
A writer and video game enthusiast, Michael has been playing since an early age and hasn’t seemed to put the controller (or mouse) down yet. While Michael considers himself a console fan, his true passion lies in PC gaming. His favorite games are Starcraft and Counter Strike, and although he spends hours on end in front of the computer, he still manages to find the time to get a little Madden and NBA Live in as well.
Michael is a recent graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in journalism. He was a staff writer and section editor for the school’s daily newspaper, The Spartan Daily, where he gained much of the experience which propels him forward today.
When he isn’t gaming, Michael can be found bobbing his head to the latest in hip hop and gangsta’ rap. His favorite artist include Dr. Dre and Talib Kweli. During his youth, Michael often analyzed poetry and music lyrics in an effort to better understand the logic behind the words.
Some of his hobbies include long distance running (especially from the police), pimpin’ and kicking ass in any video game you would like to challenge him to. Other than that, he is a very chill guy who just likes to have fun and occasionally drink a 40 oz bottle of malt liquor after a week of hard work.
He has a red Jeep that he named “Latifah” and although he only gets about 16 mpg, he loves to drive it everywhere he can.
