APB Reloaded Coming to Stores
Realtime Worlds’ crime MMO was reborn earlier this year. Now it’s coming to store shelves to celebrate its success.

Remember the failed APB (All Points Bulletin) game from last year? Seems that the failed Cops n’ Robbers MMO is getting a reboot courtesy of GamersFirst Studio.
Realtime Worlds’ failed MMO All Points Bulletin is set to relaunch under a free-to-play model following the purchase of the IP by GamersFirst of the K2 Network.
K2 Network, a company noted for its free-to-play efforts and MMO resurrection attempts, has bought the intellectual property for the currently-dead All Points Bulletin.
I myself entered into the open world “MMO” All Points Bulletin and in all honesty, RTW’s closure and discontinuation of the game came as no surprise to me. However …
The MMO shooter All Points Bulletin (APB) shut down after a mere 3 months after release. Players of the game were not offered a refund via Stream while retail copy owners were told to return to the store they purchased it from for a refund.
The closing of All Points Bulletin’s servers so soon after launch was a sad day for all, but developer Hi-Rez Studios has come through with a silver lining of sorts: a 30% discount on their MMO, Global Agenda.
Realtime Worlds’ unfortunately, “failed” MMO All Points Bulletin will close its servers tomorrow . . .
Realtime Worlds has been through a rough patch lately with their recently-released MMO All Points Bulletin not doing as well as hoped. About a week ago we ran a feature about APB possibly dying and then we brought you news of the developer filing for bankruptcy. Now we get to bring you some good news in this otherwise dreary saga.
The other day Ripten ran an editorial titled, “Is APB Already Dying?” Well it appears that we may have been more right than we knew.
APB had a huge chance to make it big in the MMO market with it’s dynamic customization and fun gameplay. It was hard to see this game becoming anything but a real contender amongst the big name MMOs, but I simply don’t see that happening now.
When APB was announced, it was announced as an MMO for the Xbox 360 and the PC. Later, they delayed and eventually dropped development of the 360 title to focus their efforts on the PC version. Now Realtime Worlds’s David Jones is saying that a console version could still happen- with some caveats.
I haven’t gotten my hands on APB, but from what I’ve heard, reviews for the game don’t seem to be very positive, as they call it repetitive and lacking in value. If what Beefjack says is true, then APB could have another problem on its hands- misogyny.
In-game advertising is one of those things that you can either hate, or not mind at all. Personally, I never care about in-game ads because they’re never really forced on you, or they’re easily ignored. The radio advertisements APB is implementing, however, could change my mind entirely.
APB, the upcoming MMO from Crackdown developer Realtime Worlds, now has finallized box art for all you to peruse with your peepers.
