Peggle, the disgustingly addictive Plinko-like game, is now available on the iPhone and iPod Touch for $4.99.

“Our new adaptation of Peggle for iPhone and iPod touch was truly a labor of love,” stated Andrew Stein, director of mobile business development at PopCap. “We spent huge amounts of time specifically optimizing this version of one of our favorite games to one of the world’s coolest devices, so that it was just right.”

The above excerpt is from the press release and is talking about new features such as zoom, new types of shots, and an enhanced UI better suited to for the devices.

Tired of the constant nerf fest that is Blizzard’s World of Warcraft? Or maybe you are just looking for a break from Azeroth that doesn’t involve getting a job or anything remotely related to life in the “real world”.

The two parties agreed on a ten year deal to create a Marvel Universe based Massive Multiplayer Online extravaganza. That’s right – Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and many others will soon be masquerading as quest givers in a game near you.

If quality is your concern, fear not. Gazillion is adequately equipped to create Marvel branded crack as their team of big wigs boast time spent at corporations such as Apple, Blizzard, Microsoft, and Pixar.

Armin Heinrich has created an application for use on the iPhone called “I Am Rich”.  What’s it do?  Absolutely nothing except put a glowing red gem on your screen.  Oh, and it also shows that you are either a total douchebag or a complete idiot because the damn thing costs $1000.

Somebody apparently didn’t think it was all that cool of an app, however, as it is now gone from the iTunes App Store.  So, did the creator make any money?

Sadly, yes.  In the less than a day that the app was available, eight people inexplicably downloaded it.  After Apple’s cut, that boils down to approximately $5880 assuming, of course, that Apple allows him to keep any of it.

There’s a chance Apple will refund the money to users who may not be satisfied or thought the whole thing was a joke, which I assume is all of them.  This guy, for example, claims it was a just a mistake.  I, however, claim him to be a total retard.

Armin Heinrich states that it was Apple that removed the app, not him, but he was never contacted about it or told why it was removed.  He later confirmed that he has so far not received any money from the sales and that Apple was intending to refund the money to two of the eight buyers.

Regardless of whether they bought it by accident or on purpose, they should be killed.

If you want to play Tetris (or a game that looks and plays just like it) on your Apple iPhone for free, then you had better hurry to the App Store and download it soon.

The makes of the real Tetris game contacted Apple regarding “Tris”, a blatant knock off of the classic puzzle game, asking that it be removed.

In response, Noah Witherspoon, creator of Tris, explained on his blog that he is a broke college student with no means to fight the accusation.

“Well — I’ve received notice from Apple that they’ve been contacted by The Tetris® Company about Tris. That, I’m afraid, is essentially game over. Do they have a case? No. Not really …

The trouble is, I’m a college student, and not an affluent one, and I simply do not have the time, energy, or resources to fight this battle right now.”

Sounds like a smart move by Noah, especially since most people would argue that they would have a case and he wouldn’t stand a chance in hell of winning.

Most of the games in discussion for the iPhone, including the ones shown above, are hovering at around $5-20 a pop. While this may seem a bit pricey, if you consider the fact that the phone itself (along with its service plan) is no bargain, we think interested owners will be able to swing it.

The iPhone is smart, and it guesses what you are trying to type. So why does it know about the KKK and not the roadside assistance organization AAA?

I received a message from my girl at work asking me to bring a few things home with me on my way. I was about to sarcastically respond by saying “k” as in “ok” several times in a row. I started to type “kkkkk” when suddenly the iPhone asked me if i meant to type “KKK”!

I thought, “Let’s see if it does that for other repetitive three letter organizations. How about AAA? The phone doubles as a navigation system, so surely it will recognize AAA?”

Negative. While the iPhone recognizes the letters “KKK”, it doesn’t seem to know the organization known as “AAA”. This brings me to the question: What exactly has Apple been teaching its little bundle of joy?

Want to see for yourself? Type kkk or kjk or even lkk and your happy little iPhone will ask you if you mean the KKK.

I’m not calling Apple racist, but I just think it’s funny. After all, how often do you need to text someone “KKK” over “AAA”? Which is more likely to be the subject of a text message: “My KKK meeting is running a little late” or “I have to call AAA to change my flat tire”?

I am willing to bet that this will be fixed when Apple releases their first firmware update. Just a hunch.
