In addition to a revamped control system and added dungeons, the new version of Chrono Trigger will apparently include a new ending. As if you need more incentive to buy the game when it comes out.

No specific details have been announced; only the release of two screenshots by Famitsu. In the screenshot shown above Marle is saying “Koko wa…?” which translates roughly to “Here is…?” Not terribly revealing, so I guess no spoilers here.

Other added features will allow you to listen to the game’s music, view “animated movies,” access a beastiary and more. Time to put aside your emulators legally obtained copies of Chrono Trigger and grab this new feature-packed version of the game.

With the 2008 Electronic Entertainment Expo less then a week away, the time for Square Enix fans to get excited has arrived. Today, the renowned RPG developer announced their full E3 line-up including a handful of remade classics, as well as their new intellectual properties (IPs).

In the last two console generations, Square Enix (then, Squaresoft) primarily developed for only Sony platforms, so it was a surprise to see not only Sony games on the list, but Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and iPod games on there also.

One of the best RPG titles ever made (in my opinion) is getting some much deserved face time with the Nintendo DS.

The two minute plus teaser trailer (revealed this morning on the official site) does not highlight any of the touch screen capabilities or feature any in game dual screen action. See that tiny text? DS! Irrefutable proof… of a sort

Reports have surfaced that the SNES critic/fan-favorite RPG Chrono Trigger may be making its way to Nintendo’s ever-successful DS by Winter in ‘enhanced’ form.
