Mass Effect Action Figures Come With Mass Effect 3 Content

EA puts out in-game content for their games in strange ways. In 2010, several of their games had codes in bottles of Dr. Pepper. For Battlefield 1943 , over 43,000,000 kills were made on the Xbox 360 version to unlock a new map. Now, Mass Effect action figures will come with DLC for Mass Effect 3. Like Activision’s Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, the figures will come with in-game content:

Bonus Downloadable Game Content: Each figure includes an in-pack card giving you access to downloadable in-game bonus content. Each figure contains different in-game content, exclusive to North American released product. Collect all 8 for the full experience!

The Bioware Store also points out that the content is randomized during registration. It could be new weapons, characters, character boosters, weapon mods, or upgrades. Some may even be for the co-op. Also worth pointing out is that this is for Xbox 360 and PC users only. Sorry, PS3 players.

Mass Effect 3 comes out March 6 for the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3. Expect a demo this Valentine’s Day.

Infinite Armor Points

Only works with Aveline or Warrior Hawke.
Equip, un-equip and then re-equip a shield. Armor number and percentage rating will go up every time you un-equip and re-equip. Repeat until maxed out.

Duplicating Items Cheat

Place your most expensive item into your trash by itself.
Go to a merchant, select sell and go to the trash tab. Hit Y and then nearly immediately press A. If you were successful the item you sold will have sold twice giving you extra money.

Infinite XP and Gold

Find a side quest that once completed doesn’t have a cutscene.
Find the character that completes the mission and pull out your sword/weapon
Walk up to them and as soon as your character sheathes his or her weapon tap the A button until you have your desired level.

Infinite Rival Points

Complete Sebastian’s Repentance companion quest.
Return to the chantry.
Avoid Sebastian – talk to the Grand Cleric instead.
Keep selecting the “You’re useless” dialog option to get +5 rivalry for Sebastian each time.

Unlimited Ability Points
Glitch requires that you access the black emporium and purchase the potion Makers Sigh which will reset all of your ability points and attributes. Hawke comes with preset skills he/she is “supposed” to have. Meaning when you use a makers sigh and save, those abilities will be filled once you re-load. Here are the steps to using this glitch:

Use Makers Sigh
Save your game.
Load your game
Check your ability points because you should have the amount that were taken away, plus the ability’s that Hawke is “supposed” to have. For a rogue it will be around four – five points in the dual wield tree (5) If you use another makers sigh, it will now add those ability’s to the ability points available. You must save and reload each time you wish to do this again.

Unlockable: Rewards for Series Veterans

Depending on how you played TFU 1, these are the ways you are rewarded in the sequel:

If you have a save on your hard drive from The Force Unleashed you will unlock Training Gear.
If you beat Force Unleashed (I) with the Light Side Ending, you will unlock Ceremonial Jedi Robes.
If you beat Force Unleashed (I) with the Dark Side Ending, you will unlock Sith Stalker Armor.

Unlockable: Guybrush Threepkiller Costume

In the 2nd Chapter you will come across a bar/casino room. At the end the room it will fill up with fog and you will have to fight a shielded mech. In the next room (after blasting the concrete wall that the shielded mech put up) you will come across a small room with a hologram of Jabba the Hut. Just under him are three slot machines. Bust em’ up and collect your costume.

Bonus costumes

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding costume:

General Kota: Get a Silver medal in the “Deadly Path Trial” challenge.

Saber Guard: Get a Silver medal in the “Cloning Spire Trial” challenge.

Terror Trooper: Get a Silver medal in the “Terror Trial” challenge.

Easy Force Points

In the first level when you stop running away from the gunship, you will die and get Force Points. The save point at this location makes it easy to get infinite Force Points. Use a rubber band on your controller to force your character to always run. After dying, your character will begin running again and repeat the cycle automatically. Allow the game to idle in this state for easy Force Points.

*gasp* Man, that title is a mouthful.

The second Call of Duty: World at War (seriously, I refuse to call it Call of Duty 5.) map pack just hit, and while presumably thousands of people are having fun with it right now, you might’ve just hoped it would hit the proverbial online bargain bin soon enough, even though it’s a measly $10. Well, now you don’t have to, because we at Ripten are giving away 5 PS3 codes and 5 Xbox 360 codes for the map pack.

Of course, we can’t just give them to you. That would be crazy! No siree- but you can hit the jump to see what you can do to win a code.

To win one of these codes, all you have to do is make a drawing in MS Paint (or Paintbrush for Mac, Tuxpaint for Linux, or whatever) and leave a link to the picture in the comments below, but don’t forget to tell us which console you want the code for. The drawing can be of anything- as long as it’s gaming related, and the Ripten staff will choose the 5 best PS3 artist drawings and the 5 best Xbox 360 artist drawings. The main point of the contest is that you absolutely cannot use anything other than a rudimentary paint program. You can even use an iPhone paint program if you want to, but if we see any hints of Photoshopping, GIMPing, Paint.NET-ing, or A.viary-ing, your painting will not count.

Keep in mind though- best doesn’t necessarily mean most skillfull. If your drawing is though provoking, or funny, or artsy, or even just totally outrageous enough to make us like it, then you’ll probably win. That’s not to say that skillful artists won’t win- you can make a drawing of anything, as long as the drawing is related to video games. It doesn’t have to look like a Monet, though- Pollacks and Picassos are just as welcome.

You can submit as many masterpieces as you want, but make sure you leave a link to them before midnight (between Tues. & Wed.), Tuesday June 23rd, one week from now. Get to it, guys!
