August NPD: Xbox 360 Regains Second Place

For a number of months Sony’s PlayStation 3 showed dominance in the US, taking the video gaming market by the scruff of the neck. Due to Solid Snakes return to Sony’s platform, the previously leading Xbox 360 had lost its second place crown.
Nintendo’s Wii might still be King of the now-gen consoles, but this month Microsoft’s Xbox 360 recaptured some ground and with recent price cuts it’s hard not to suppose more of the same before the end of the year. Read more…
SimExchange Predicts 360 Will Outsell PS3 2-to-1 in the US This Holiday Season

The simExchange, a site which attempts to predict trends in the video game industry by giving its users (gamers, developers, and industry onlookers) virtual money to buy and sell video game related stocks and properties, believes that the Microsoft Xbox 360 will outsell Sony’s Playstation 3 console 2-to-1 in the US this holiday season.
