Star Wars Battlefront 3 has been long rumored but now forgotten. Could it finally be returning?

Crytek’s Cevat Yerli has said that the company are “discussing” the return of Free Radical’s (now Crytek UK’s) TimeSplitters series.

Crytek UK, a studio formed from the sadly broken remains of beloved TimeSplitters developer Free Radical, are in talks with publishers about the possibility of a new TimeSplitters game, it was revealed today.

Late last year, Free Radical Design fell into administration, thanks to the wonderful recession gracing our fair world. Hot out of Free Radical’s open wound, Kotaku have found a goldmine of Star Wars Battlefront 3 footage, a game which the former company was working on. It looks, well, like the other Battlefront games. That’s no complaint; there’s no harm at all in sticking to a winning formula. Let’s hope the new developers Rebellion [...]

Free Radical’s new FPS might just take the leap as being the first that really showcases the horror of war.  We got to experience it for ourselves when we sat down with a February build of the game at Play.com Live.
