Another week of January games releases, which hasn’t been too much to get excited for as of late. However, this week seems a lot better than the past few with Skate 2 for the 360 and PS3, SimAnimals on the Wii and DS and Star Ocean: Second Evolution for the PSP, all hitting stores this week. Another highly stellar week of new game releases with the likes of Left 4 Dead, Need for Speed: Undercover, Shaun White Snowboarding, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and the surprisingly well-reviewed Last Remnant for the Xbox 360.

After a shitload of huge releases last week (Gears 2, Resistance 2, End War), it’s only natural for this week to keep the momentum rolling with big name games like Call of Duty: World at War on five platforms, Mirror’s Edge and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe both for the PS3 and 360, along with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, both for the 360.

Oh, and don’t let me forget about the Warcraft fiends out there, as World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King arrives this week as well. I’m sure they’ll be spending even more weeks months with their eyeballs glued to their computers.

Another great week in gaming with the likes of LittleBigPlanet, Fallout 3, Guitar Hero World Tour, Ninjatown and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift being released this week. I’m already losing enough sleep as it is playing Fable 2, SOCOM and COD: WaW Beta, but I think I can fit in one or two more games for the weekend.

Wow! That’s what describes this week in new game releases. It just seems like every week this fall is getting better and better. With games like Fable 2, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Legendary, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia and, hell, even Wii Music, it’s gonna be hard to choose which games to play.

A pretty good week for releases with Alone in the Dark on the Xbox 360 and Wii, as well as Battlefield: Bad Company on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Disney’s WALL-E is coming out for every console and the newest installment of the Square Enix’s FF: Tactics series hits the DS with Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. Overall, a perfect week to spend all your money on video games. Read more…
