Best Buy Gamer Deal: Buy 2 Games Get 3rd Free (Ends Saturday)

by Chad Lakkis on October 29, 2009 at 5:22 pm

best-buy-sale-logoI just got back from my local Best Buy and found out that the store is having a video game deal that can save all of us some cash. If you buy any two Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Nintendo Wii games (at full price) you get the third game absolutely free (Dane Cook disciples know this is the best kind of free).

So just to recap. Three PS3 games for the price of two. Three 360 games for the price of two. Three Wii games for the price of two. Get off your ass and get into your local Best Buy. Sale ends this Saturday.

Check out this awesome deal I just discovered from the Best Buy website! You’ll get 50% off one Xbox 360 game when you buy another game of equal or lesser value. Even better, is that they’re offering free shipping or the option of in-store pick up.  Probably one of the best deals I’ve seen all year on video games, this one shouldn’t be missed out. And the list of Xbox 360 games is pretty long, even including games that aren’t even out yet. I just pre-ordered Halo: ODST and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 both paid in full for around $90 (not including tax)! It’s a dope as deal that most definitely needs to be taken advantage of.

[Thanks, Nima!]

Looking to buy a PS3 anytime soon? Wanting to get the best deal? Well, Best Buy has got a pretty nice PS3 bundle their offering right now. The bundle includes the 80GB model of the PS3 hardware for $399.99, along with a copy of LittleBigPlanet and a Blu-ray copy of Wall-E for FREE! Quite an impressive package, so if you’re interested in getting a PS3, I’d put some thought into this deal.

Gaming Deals: Xbox LIVE’s Deal of the Week

by Rangebar Merani on February 23, 2009 at 9:53 am

Starting today, Xbox LIVE is awarding it’s Gold members by offering a number of discounts that range from 25 to 50 percent off Arcade titles, DLC, Xbox Originals and other XBL material.

Now at a 33 percent discount, this week’s deal is the XBL Arcade title, Braid, for 800 Microsoft points, down from it’s original 1200 points. Remember, this deal is good for only one week, but Microsoft is expected to give out discounts to Gold members on Ninja Gaiden II DLC, Project Gotham 4 DLC and the Xbox Original, Fable, later this month. Get it while it’s on the low!

After closing 150 of its stores nationwide and filing for bankruptcy, Circuit City is still working on unloading the shelves with stock they’ve probably had for months, if not longer.

Circuit City is now offering a 20 GB Hard Drive and Xbox 360 Controller bundle for only $39.99. A 20 GB Hard Drive and 360 controller for only $40, now that’s a deal seeing that a 360 controller cost around $50 alone. Both items are refurbished, but at dirt cheap prices, it’s still a great deal.

While it might be sad for the top dogs at Circuit City, its great news for us, especially for those who had just purchased an Xbox 360 Arcade version or 360 owners looking for more hard drive space or just wanting an extra controller.

Gaming Deals of the Week: Closing Circuit City Game Discounts

by Rangebar Merani on November 5, 2008 at 1:17 pm

Earlier this week it was announced that 155 Circuit City stores were being shut down due to credit concerns and financial problems from the electronics retailer.

Well, according to Kotaku, the 155 closing stores are placing discount tags on pretty much everything, including video games. Here are the discounts for today:

Okay the discounts aren’t all that, but they could drop more as the closing dates draw near. If you’re lucky, one of the closing stores is near you and you could save a few bucks on some games. Hit the jump for the full list of closing Circuit City stores. Read more…

All games are pre-played, but come with a new case, a new manual, and a 100% guaranteed that the game will work. Oh, and if you’re a GameFly member (like me) you’ll get free shipping on any game you buy.
