Earlier in the year, Polyphony Digital founder Kazunori Yamauchi (now of GT:TV fame, Top Gear next) mentioned that “maybe by Fall we’ll be able to implement it [ie. damage modeling],” and confirming that it would be included as a patch to Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Gran Turismo 5 Or Reality? Take The Test.

How good is your eye? Take the test and find out.
Computer games are getting closer and closer to real life in the graphics department, with one game flying the flag for reality, Gran Turismo 5.
It’s hard not to be impressed by what Polyphony Digital are pulling out of the Playstation 3, with visuals that are undeniably a step up from the last generation. This is especially impressive since Polyphony have said that he game will run in 1080p and at 60fps.
So to celebrate the fact that the demo for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be on the Playstation Network in little over a week, with the retail version following in December, here is a little game to test your skills at determining reality from a mere computer game.
It’s tough, and often reality looks more plastic than the game — let’s just hope that in the full release, the cars will damage like they do when you spin off the road in real life.
