Holy Sales Batman! Arkham City Moves 4 Million Units in First Week

Warner Bros and Rocksteady have proudly announced that Batman: Arkham City has shipped more than 4.6 million units in the first week alone. This number more than doubled Arkham Asylum first week figures from 2009.

It is important to note that while units shipped do not directly equal sales, they are a great indication of retailers reacting to and estimating consumer demand.

With this news combined with the Metacritic averages of 96 on PS3 and 95 on Xbox 360, there is little doubt that future Batman sequels are on their way.

Don’t worry PC gamers, you’ll be able to share in the awesome called Batman: Arkham City on November 18th.

Matt LaBoone, inspired the Giant NES coffee table (created by Kyle Downes), assembled a four-foot long fully functional SNES controller. Matt’s passion for the Super Nintendo stems in part to the fact he grew up playing the console. In addition to that, I am going to guess that he spent his non gaming time building really cool things.
