Activision has released the launch trailer for GoldenEye 007: Reloaded. The game we all know and love from the N64 days first returned to the Wii, and now has been revamped for current generation HD consoles. Check out the launch trailer below.

Activision released a whole bunch of new Goldeneye 007: Reloaded goodies including new screens and a multiplayer trailer. The trailer and screens show off the multiplayer side of the game.

The screens show some of the characters, customized load outs, gadgets, weapon attachments and other details. They also display the return of the classic 4 player split screen that no doubt brings feelings of nostalgia to many gamers.

I don’t know about you but I am PSYCHED and looking forward to pawning noobs in the 16 player online multiplayer.

New GoldenEye Reloaded Stealth Trailer Would Make Sam Fisher Blush

Sure James Bond has always been stealthy, long before Sam Fisher existed. But stealth in a James Bond video game has never looked so good.

Check out this released video from Activision showcasing the stealth mechanics in their upcoming HD remake of last year’s Wii hit GoldenEye 007 Reloaded.

Here at RipTen, we ask the serious questions. “What did you have for lunch?” “Who’s your daddy?” “Will GoldenEye 007: Reloaded have Big Head mode?!”

Well, unfortunately, GoldenEye’s new HD Wiimake (cwutididthur?) will not have the Big Head mode that we all know and love from the N64 days, but it will have some of the other sw33t modes like Paintball mode.

However, Activison also told us that there will be NEW and IMPROVED multiplayer game types that they can’t talk about yet.

I think I speak for everyone with a PS3 and 360 when I say, “WOOT.”

Goldeneye 007: Reloaded Formally Announced for PS3 and Xbox 360

Activision has officially announced Goldeneye 007: Reloaded for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Goldeneye will be an HD version of last year’s Wii hit and is built on an “all new engine” which will offer improved graphics, sound and run a full 60 frames per second.

New features include extra ‘Mi6 Ops Missions’ — new, distinct levels separate from the campaign that span the varied environments from the story and challenge players to complete different Assault, Elimination, Stealth and Defense objectives. On the PS3 Goldeneye will have PS Move and SharpShooter support.

The press release says the release is for this fall, while retailers yesterday dated the game for the end of October. Either way, I’d like one shaken, not stirred.

Bizarre Creations Officially Closes Friday the 18th

After 15 years, 20 games, 200 staff and thousands of units sold, a titan in the racing game industry is finally closing its doors amidst poor sales and negative reception to its most recent titles.

Officially formed back in the dinosaur gaming days of 1994, Bizarre Creations first broke into the video game entertainment market with their Formula 1 racing title “Formula 1 ’97″ that quickly established their identity as a creator of high quality racing titles. However, after a number of AAA caliber titles and wildly popular arcade games – things strangely started going down hill for the developer.

You can read about the rise and untimely fall of Bizarre Creations in an editorial that I wrote titled “Was Bizarre Creations a Ticking Time Bomb?“.

Our thoughts go out to the staff from Liverpool that are unfortunately losing their positions at the pivotal developer, but we know they will be picked up in a hurry by other companies (Codies!). What are your thoughts on the Bizarre Creations saga?

James Bond has made his way to the Xbox 360 and PS3 in an all new and original adventure. Use this James Bond 007: Blood Stone Trophy / Achievement guide to maximize your gamerscore.

How to get the secret Trophies / Achievements:

Five a day – Find and shoot the five fruit bowls.

1. In Mission 1: Athens, the fruit bowl is at the beginning of the level, on the table after taking down the second guard on the boat. It is right next to where you shoot the boat for the “Greek Tragedy” trophy.2. In Mission 1: Athens, once you get to the pool area, go to the right, and before crossing the bridge, look for the table in the far right corner next to a cowering waiter.3. In Mission 3: Monaco, after the section in a small courtyard with one patrolling guard and two leaning guards, right next to the area with the two guards with their backs to you is a door which can be opened to find a piece of intelligence. Slightly around the corner is a fruit bowl.4. In Mission 5: Bangkok, after hitting a switch to open a rolling fence door is a very tight alleyway with several enemies at the end. Kill the enemies, then look on the right hand side next to two small wooden baskets and a silver trash bin to find a fruit bowl.

Yeah, the game released yesterday but Activision has given us a this exciting new James Bond 007: Blood Stone Trailer today. Watch Bond, in Daniel Craig’s likeness, as he thoroughly dismantles foes to the iconic Bond theme music in exciting third person action.

Bizarre Announces No Demo Planned for 007: Blood Stone

Activision Sets UK Release Date for Blood Stone and Goldeneye

Activision has set the launch dates for two portions of Bond awesomness with both titles launching on November 5th. With the launch dates only announced for the Wii and Nintendo DS, Activision announced today that its all-new Xbox 360, PS3, PC and DS game, James Bond: Blood Stone, would also be launching on the same day as Goldeneye.

Daniel Craig, the current 007 actor is lending his likeliness to both games, although I can’t help but want Pierce Brosnan back for Goldeneye. Stay tuned for more news.

Check out the new combat Trailer for James Bond 007: Blood Stone…Daniel Craig kicks ass! The third-person perspective perfectly compliments the combat sequences.

The new combat system appears to be smooth and the cover system looks good. It’s still too early to tell, but designers Bizzare Creations might have a winner!

Expect James Bond to sneak in this November.

Well it’s a James Bond day it would appear. First we brought you nine new screenshots for Goldeneye on the Nintendo Wii, and now we have a brand new trailer for the recently announced James Bond: Blood Stone. I watched this trailer three or four times, and I was still pretty jaw to the floor over it.

The game reminds me a lot of The Bourne Conspiracy game that released for the Xbox 360. I’m pretty interested in this, although I hate being the person who goes “wow this looks good” based on one trailer. Let us know what you think below.

Bond 23 Gets the Axe

Daniel Craig may never play the role of everyones favorite super spy James Bond ever again. Due to ongoing financial difficulties within MGM, the producers of the long running spy series. Why is this news on a gaming website then you may ask. Well basically, we might never see another Bond game grace our PCs or consoles, after the upcoming Nintendo Wii Goldeneye redux.

I personally loved Nightfire on the original Xbox console and Goldeneye was and still is one of the greatest console shooters to ever bestow itself upon us, so it is somewhat upsetting to think we might never see a game of that caliber again.

Why is GoldenEye Exclusive to Wii? Activision Explains

For years, fans had waited, pleaded, begged, and so on, all for the return of the perennial console first-person shooter of their youth: GoldenEye. And with Microsoft having bought Rare, many thought that if it were to surface, it would likely be on Microsoft’s Xbox 360. However, there was one thing which stood in the way of that dream…

Nintendo.

Of course, it only stands to reason; after all, Nintendo owned a heavy stake in Rare at the time of GoldenEye‘s development for the Nintendo 64. So at the very least, it seems that a Wii release would happen, if a re-release were to happen at all.

But when the (sort of) surprise announcement that a new GoldenEye was coming to the Wii, some people were left scratching their heads as they learned that, despite being developed by third-party and Bond license-holder Activision, the game would once more be exclusive to Nintendo’s platforms.

But why?

“There are a number of different reasons for that,” explained Senior Producer Brian Pass. “One’s we have a partnership with Nintendo. It’s a great opportunity. This game was originally on the N64, so there’s the nostalgia factor for people that are Nintendo fans. So we wanted to partner with Nintendo for this.

“There’s opportunity. So, the opportunity on the Nintendo Wii platform is huge. There’s roughly 12 million Wiis in North America. But it’s not really a console that a lot of shooter fans are playing on. So we wanted to offer them their own first-person shooter, that’s unique and exclusive to that console.”

Of course, there are a few shooters on the Wii, but why aren’t more gamers embracing them? “I don’t know,” Pass admitted. One possibility he considers is that it could have something to do with the interface:

“Maybe it’s because people don’t like using the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk. They don’t like using the pointing device. Now they’ve got the Classic Pro Controller. This is dual analogue stick. It’s got the exact same layout you find on PS3 or 360.”

“You put this in a shooter fan’s hands and they instantly know how to play. We feel that the opportunity and the time is right. And partnering with Nintendo is a huge opportunity for us. We really want to tap in to the nostalgia for Nintendo fans, and take advantage of the opportunity presented by the platform.”

But surely, at some point in the future, Activision would share the love with the other platforms, right? After all, it’s like money in the bank, isn’t it?

Pass said he could not comment on that; however, primary Producer Dawn Pinkney of Eurocom would offer that “it belongs to the platform that it should be on, which is Nintendo.”

Activision Announces… Well, Pretty Much Everything

As if you didn’t have enough games backtracked to carry you into the New Year, today, at an event hosted by Massive Inc., Activision announced a shitload of new games, though they’re mostly sequels to old titles. Hit the jump for the full details.

As expected, Activision announced yet another game for the Guitar Hero franchise. Whoo. If you haven’t been keeping track, that’s the 9th announced Guitar Hero game from Activision. I mean, jeez, Harmonix only made three in the two years they had the series, and as of Q1 2010 (that’s two and a half years in Activision’s hands) the game will have twelve sequels & spin-offs. The franchise is going to die faster than [some 80's rap star]‘s career. Thank you, I’ll be here all night.

Surprisngly, Activision also announced a new Tony Hawk game — one that won’t use the controller and will probably use the rumored skateboard peripheral, along with a new Call of Duty game planned as a sequel to Modern Warfare. The last of Activision’s announcements included a new Bond game, probably based off of the 23rd Bond film in 2010, and an original racing game from Bizarre Creations, which they’ve described as ‘Mario Kart meets Forza.” If it allows me to shoot a blue shell from a Maserati, I’m all for it.

James Bond Star Is Secretly A Huge Gamer

The latest in the long line of James Bond actors, Daniel Craig, is secretly a huge gaming fanatic. He’s actually passionate enough about videogames (secretly) that he wouldn’t sign on with Treyarch to make the upcoming Quantum of Solace game until he got a chance to evaluate it himself.

In an interview with Daily Star, Treyarch’s Adam Gascoine had the following to say about Daniel Craig and his secret gaming lifestyle:

“Daniel Craig is a gamer. The impression I got is that he spends a lot of time playing games even though his other half is constantly telling him not to.

He was quite reserved about doing our game at first because he didn’t want to be involved in a shoddy product. We had to show it to him three times before he would sign up. When we went to Pinewood Studios, we were held up for half an hour because he was playing Guitar Hero.

They were about half way through making Quantum Of Solace and he got to play some levels of the game that related to scenes he was actually filming at the time. The fact that he was evaluating our game made it very high stakes for us. It was quite tense, but the end result made it a much better game.

Craig is very serious about his roles. You can’t just go in there joking and laughing. You have to establish you are there to do business. If he says he doesn’t like it, you have to listen. He’s also built like a brick shithouse so you don’t argue with him.”

I have nothing else to say except that this news is both awesome and strangely humorous.

Rumor: Rare Back Catalogue Coming to Xbox Live Arcade?

Xbox Evolved claims that in talks with very reliable sources evidence has presented itself in the form of, well, we don’t know what form of evidence they saw. They just won’t show us, but what they did is tell us all about is what may be headed to our XBLA. Banjo, Ms. Dark, or dare we say, Bond?

According to Xbox Evolved, Microsoft, Rare, MGM Studios (studio that currently holds rights to 007 films) and Activision (publisher that currently holds rights 007 games) have come to an agreement to bring the Rare developed N64 classic Goldeneye 007 out to the Xbox Live Arcade.

Xbox Evolved goes on to detail that the title will feature updated graphics and online multiplayer. They even go on to say that in addition to Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark will appear on XBLA.

If all of this is true, this is a big success for the Xbox Live Arcade over the Virtual Console. I’m just hoping that along with updated graphics, they bring on some revamped controls, Why, you ask? Go break out your N64 and that dusted up copy of Goldeneye.
