Back in 2006, shortly after the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox 360, a strange, unholy alliance was formed. Microsoft and Burger King, two companies each known for bringing the sensational smell of smoke to the noses of their customers, came together to offer a most unusual promotion.

Several major retail outlets have listed Kinect for Xbox 360 at a price of $149.99, suggesting that this will be the RRP for the device.

Taking a look at the Google Trends page shows us that the Nintendo 3DS has been the most popular search term when compared to the other big hardware announcements at this year’s E3 event.

In an internal marketing Q & A session, Microsoft let loose that not only will there be a $199 Xbox 360 configuration, but at least one Xbox bundle that would pair the console with Kinect. We knew that Kinect would be sold on its own come this fall, but I think we all assumed that Microsoft would take the opportunity to bundle Kinect with the systems.

In my mind, and as a gamer, Microsoft did not “win” E3. What they presented was interesting, but for the post part, what I saw did not appeal to me that much. Too bad what I thought of E3 does not at all matter. Microsoft wins this year’s E3 because one thing and one thing alone…

The Ubisoft Keynote started quick and with no delay to getting straight to the games, beginning with an Xbox 360 Kinect demo of Child of Eden, in which Director Tetsuya Mizuguchi was playing.

Child of Eden, from the creator of Rez and Lumines, can be played with Microsoft’s Kinect. The series creator proudly and brilliantly displayed the game wearing a single white glove.

Microsoft announces Dance Central, a dancing game that works with Kinect. With over 600 moves and 90 routines, it seems to be a pretty robust dancing simulator/game. No joke, it looks pretty nifty.
