New Twisted Metal to Include Free Downloadable of Twisted Metal: Black

As a bit of a holiday surprise, Twisted Metal co-creator David Jaffe revealed via video at the Playstation Blog that the limited edition of Twisted Metal will include a free downloadable version of Twisted Metal: Black. Yes, this is the same Twisted Metal: Black for PS2 in 2001.

Blue Wii Coming To North America

According to the WalMart Black Friday ad, the Limited Edition Blue Wii is coming to North America. Please keep in mind that this hasn’t been official confirmed by Nintendo of America, but with evidence like this who needs convincing? Check the flyer on WalMart.com for yourself!

Sadly, it appears to be the updated version of the Wii with no GameCube support.

Either way, I’m very tempted to get it as it’s the only Wii color that I don’t own.

More Details Revealed About Limited Edition Modern Warfare 3 Turtle Beach Headsets

A month ago, Turtle Beach announced a partnership with Activision in an effort to milk every dollar from Call of Duty gamers before Modern Warfare 3 even ships by launching limited edition Modern Warfare 3 headsets. These headsets, named Ear Force DELTA, BRAVO, CHARLIE, and FOXTROT in military code fashion, are packed with features that will make any fanboy squeal like a fangirl and everyone else wonder why the hell these headsets are pricier than the consoles they were made for.

Ear Force DELTA will have custom voice prompts from Lt. Col. Hank Kerisey, a veteran, certified badass, and the military advisor for the Call of Duty franchise, so you can make your gritty videogame war experience even more realistic by having a retired officer screaming in your ear as you play.

Both the DELTA and the BRAVO headsets feature field cases for you to protect your headset and show off that you’re insane enough to pay more than $150 for a gaming headset. You’re so hardcore, you.

All of the headsets allow access to an exclusive DLC for the game so that you can have at least one Call of Duty DLC of the thousands to come without having to pay $15 for it… then again, you did pay upwards of $99 for that headset.

Turtle Beach will be releasing more information about each of the headsets this week at the Turtle Beach website, starting with FOXTROT today. The headsets are set to ship to major retailers by October 2011, a month before the game hits stores.

EA has announced the limited edition of Need for Speed: The Run and they brought along a few new screenshots to go with it.

Limited Editions of Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please yours for Just £1000

Dan Marshall and Ben Ward of “Ben There, Dan That!” and “Time Gentlemen, Please” fame are selling extremely limited edition bundles of their two games for the very reasonable price of £1000.

Dan Marshall has made a post on the official Zombie Cow Studios forums with all the details. According to him Nicholas Lovell, a regular speaker on the subject of games, said: “don’t sell 5,000 games for £10, just sell ONE game for £50,000!”

Obviously that’s too bold a statement to pass up. For just one thousand Pound Sterling, you’ll get:

- Each LIMITED EDITION version contains both games, lovingly packaged onto a DVD-ROM and put into a proper case with a tasteful sleeve just like a game you’ve bought in the shops. I’ll stick whatever extras I can find on there, and print out a little manual with an exclusive ‘making of’. There’s also a small novella explaining the events that got Dan killed in Peru, something we’ve never before explained.

- Each copy will be signed, kissed and briefly placed near our bottoms before being doused gently in my favourite aftershave so you’ll get a real olfactory sense of your favourite character.

- You’ll get a hand-written certificate, done in crayon, explaining the significance of your LIMITED EDITION purchase.

- Your copy will then be hand-packaged up by us in some of that oh-so swanky tissue paper from that expensive stationary shop in town, tied in raffia (that posh string stuff) and posted to you. Your address will be written on the front in our neatest handwriting.

Bulletstorm Demo Hitting XBL and PSN

Bulletstorm, one of Epic Games’ most anticipated titles of 2011, has a demo that’s about to make you call out for work. The demo finds its way to Xbox Live on January 25^th and Playstation Network on January 26^th.

The demo reportedly contains 45 different skillshots that allow you to decimate your opponents in increasingly creative ways, or perhaps allow you to work out some of your frustration by punting enemies into cacti. Players can also unlock “platform-specific upgrades” that will come in handy in the full title’s Anarchy mode. Items like the Crimson Leash and Stealth Armor aim to help bring players into the new demo.

Of course, the Bulletstorm: Epic Edition (see the pun there,) on the Xbox 360 contains early access to the highly anticipated Gears of War 3 beta. The Playstation 3 and PC versions, titled Bulletstorm: Limited Edition, come with additional content that is decidedly not the Gears of War 3 beta and instead 25,000 Experience Points and a few different skins for weapons and characters.

Epic is certainly looking to bring in the new year with a bang, or perhaps a swift kick to the face.

25th Anniversary Super Mario All-Stars Wii Limited Edition Confirmed For North America

Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition for Wii has, at long last, been confirmed to be coming to North America thanks to the latest issue of Iwata Asks

Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition contains all the original games contained in the Super NES classic: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (part 2 in Japan), Super Mario Bros. 2, and the ever popular Super Mario Bros. 3.

Also included will be a video history of Super Mario and a soundtrack CD with a mix of Super Mario songs from the original to Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Unfortunately further details were not disclosed. The Red Wii Mario All-Stars bundle will be available on November 8th so hopefully this standalone release is coming soon.

Bad Ass Super Meat Boy PC Box Art Revealed

Team Meat has finally revealed the box art for the Limited Edition of Super Meat Boy (PC). If you ask us, it may very well be the greatest box art of all time.

This cover will be placed on our upcoming PC boxed release that will be printed and sold independently through our site. This “Special Edition” pc version will feature the exact same game as you’ve played on steam, but it will also come packed with special features like behind the scenes videos, design sketches, illustrations and never before scene cutting room floor characters, art and the like.

We hope to have the printed version out by the end of Jan. after the level editor is out, it will probably sell for around 20-25 bucks depending on the final price of the printing.

Limited and Nano Editions of Crysis 2 Revealed

Crytek has just fully revealed on their website the Limited and Nano Editions of Crysis 2.

Within the $149.99 / £119.99 / €129.99 Nano Edition, you’ll find a limited edition of Crysis 2 in a steelbook case, along with an 11″ statue of a prophet on top of a New York taxi cab, a high-quality art book, all contained within a backpack modeled after the Nanosuit. The Nano Edition will be limited in quantity and available through pre-orders only.

The Limited Edition features all of the above, with one exception: no statue.

What do you think? Worth the money? Or will you simply shrug at the cashier when they offer the chance to upgrade, and take the regular edition?

Halo: Reach Limited Edition Details Arrive. Will You Be Buying it?

I think when it comes to Collectors Editions I’ve seen everything. I remember the humble old days of gaining access to a Beta for getting the Collectors Edition, or a small cup if you were lucky… Well now everything is all about going big with 100 pound hand painted figurines, working night vision goggles and just about everything in between.

This is about the Halo: Reach Limited Edition purchases you will be able to make though. Firstly there is two versions, the Limited Edition and the Legendary Edition. The Limited Edition comes with;

A custom game case designed to look like a recovered ONI data module
In-game Elite armor. No word if this is exclusive to the Limited Edition or not
Dr. Halsey’s ONI security badge. Handy for breaking into the ONI hundreds of years into the future…
A Spartan II patch for your Cub Scout blanket
A bag of junk… Nah seriously, an artifact bag of personal notes and documents belonging to Dr. Halsey

Now when it comes to the Legendary Edition, things really do get Legendary. In the Legendary Edition you will get everything from the Limited Edition, plus a statue visible from outer space to put on your mantle. Medal of Honor GameStop Listing and Limited Edition Trailer

Earlier on today Ripten reported on the release of two images, both of which were guns you would gun access to if you purchase the Limited Edition for EA’s upcoming series reboot; “Medal of Honor”. Well now GameStop has and official listing and we can confirm the Limited Edition will cost $59.99 USD. If you buy the Limited Edition, not only will you get the exclusive weapons but you will now get a full retail copy of Medal of Honor: Frontline, which was released in 2002 and is being remastered exclusively for the Playstation 3.

EA also uploaded an announcement trailer for the Limited Edition that shows off all the weapons you will get. Enjoy.

Gran Turismo 5 To Come In Two Limited Editions

I don’t like Gran Turismo. There, I said it. I’ve played every main game in the series, and I don’t like any of them. When people complain about games simply being expansions of their predecessors, I instantly think of Gran Turismo, as it’s essentially a series of games that add tracks and cars to older games. I don’t think I could care less about realism in racing games. I also don’t like it because it’s a purely simulation racing game, and therefore just as boring and tedious as I’d imagine it would be to handle every aspect of racing. Long story short, I’m not going to be buying Gran Turismo 5, though I’m sure I will have at least one friend that does. The only question now is which version they’ll end up purchasing.

We heard about one limited edition version of Gran Turismo 5 back at E3 when it was announced- a $99 bundle that comes with a book, DLC, and a miniature Nissan GTR Spec-V. That’s a pretty good deal for $99, considering the game itself will most likely hit retail for the standard $60. But now, thanks to Sony Computer Entertainment India boss Atindriya Bose, we know that we might be getting a second, bigger bundle.

“One is the game plus some added content and collectibles, while the other is in a really big package with a lot of paraphernalia that goes beyond the game,” he said in a recent interview. ”It’s all car-related, but I’m unaware of the exact contents.” The “big package” is going to be pretty pricey according to Atindriya, “Being so expensive, we may not directly order it from Europe, but we could bring in limited quantities from Sony in the Middle East.”

While this is confirmation enough that a second version of a limited edition bundle exists, there’s no proof that we’ll see it stateside, or even anywhere that isn’t India. If they price it right, that second bundle could actually sell fairly well, and I know the first one will regardless. Hell, the entire game will sell well- Gran Turismo is one of those franchises that sells like hotcakes, and while I find that baffling, I guess I could understand why people would enjoy it. Those of you who do enjoy it can look forward to picking up Gran Turismo 5 when it hits the PS3 on November 2nd. [CVG]
