Macho Man Randy Savage himself may no longer be with us but thanks to this video found on youtube, we now know he lives on as a “The Macho Dragon” in Skyrim with a simple download of a mod for the PC. As Randy Savage once said, “Expect the unexpected in the kingdom of madness!”

First 4 Figures Link On Epona Pre-Orders Now Live

High-end figure manufacturer First 4 Figures has just put both of their Link On Epona figures up for pre-order. As with the other figures in the Zelda: Twilight Princess line from First 4 Figures there is a regular version and an exclusive version.

The regular version, pictured above, measures 17 inches tall and 16 inches wide. It will be limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide and costs $424.99 USD.

The exclusive version will be the same size but will feature a faux bronze finish. The exclusive version will be limited to 500 pieces worldwide and costs $449.99 USD. Many fans are complaining that Link’s face looks bad on the exclusive version and First 4 Figures has already stated that they are looking into painting Link’s eyes due to the fan request (though the pictures so far don’t show that).

First 4 Figures has also given out two coupon codes for those that are interested. Until October 20th, 2011 those that are interested can use the coupon code LPE36C to save $25.00 off the regular version or K2AJ3H to save $30.00 off the exclusive version.

Link Riding Epona Coming From First 4 Figures

High-end figure manufacturer First 4 Figures has just released a teaser for their next product in the Zelda: Twilight Princess line. Link on Epona will be available to preorder starting September 20th, 2011 on First4Figures.com. This will not be 1/4 scale like the others in the Twilight Princess series, but will be about the size of the Zelda: Ocarina of Time Link figures they have produced. Additionally First 4 Figures has mentioned that Link Riding Epona will be the heaviest figure they have produced.

Five Legend of Zelda Characters Who Actually Made Things Worse

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most popular series in the history of gaming and it therefore doesn’t give a fuck to have an entire article just for itself, in list format. The hero of the saga is a silent man-elf in an inappropriately short tunic who strolls around mutilating just anything that moves a little too much. Throughout his quest he is met by a variety of characters, both completely useless, and some who actually help out, or so they seem to at first. Some of Link’s most “helpful” allies, and even himself, actually end up making the shit hit the fan, by making things worse than they already were. They do this by using the worst possible judgement for that particular situation and completely defying common sense and logic. Just like…

5) Link From Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of ages, Link is sent to Labrynna by the triforce in order to save the land from its impending doom. Upon his arrival he agrees to help, and then proceeds to blindly trust, a shady blue woman who also happens to be possessed by another, thinner, blue evil woman… But who gives a fuck, right Link?

Don´t trust strangers, no matter how large their breasts might be.

After Link scares off the creatures who are manhandling the old lady, she introduces herself as Impa, nurse to Hryule´s princess Zelda and veteran hooters waitress. She then explains to Link that she is looking for some girl and talks him into helping her out. As usual, Link readily agrees to help. So they set off to find Nayru in order to…well… Actually he is never given a good reason to do this but what the hell, everyone does crazy shit after doing shrooms in the forest and throwing on a green miniskirt.

She then leads him towards the sacred barrier, which only those with ties to the triforce seem to be able to move.

Sacred barrier? Really....that´s it?

Link proceeds to move the rock, which seems to be clearly there to keep suspicious blue people out of that particular area. I mean… the barrier is there for a reason… It is specifically there so random people can´t just go in there and do whatever the fuck they want. Anyway, Link and his new best friend proceed to enter the newly opened path and find Nayru, the girl she was looking for, serenading the forest creatures with her singing.

After this heart warming scene, the evil spirit possessing Impa shows herself and says her name is Veran and that she will be this game´s super villain. Then she lets everyone know Link was the genius who moved the barrier and flies over to possess Nayru in order to change the past and rule the world or become her own grandmother, can´t remember which. After this, Veran leaves and Ralph, Nayru´s self proclaimed bodyguard, goes after her in hopes to recover his life long friend. Impa then conveniently wakes up just in time to tell Link to help out and sends him off to see the Great Maku Tree. Nobody says it, but we all know everything is that little asshole´s fault.

4) Goron Elder from Majora´s Mask

The Goron elder is an aged goron who acts as the tribal patriarch for the community of gorons living in the Snow Peak region of the land of Termina. He also acts as the ruler of Goron Village and is very well respected by his fellow tribe members. I don´t know why and how the fuck it is possible, but he has also got a baby son. Something so old and downright ugly shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce anymore. Seriously, who the fuck agreed to mate with this guy? If gorons really do reproduce sexually it makes sense that we don´t get to see any goron females anywhere, as they committed mass suicide after learning this which cannot be un-learned.

The goron tribe is struck by a devastating winter during the events of Majora´s Mask and had sent the goron hero Darmani to investigate this severe change in temperature. After some time of not knowing of Darmani´s fate, the gorons start to get worried about him and about their own survival as well. This is when the goron elder just says “fuck it!” and decides to venture his old and brittle bones unto the freezing mountains completely alone in order to find Darmani. He proves his worth by freezing to death 50 meters from his home…

Is it just me or does that decision fail in so many levels that it makes Hugo Chavez look like the best ruler ever? First of all, he is supposed to be the leader of this tribe, if he dies those incompetently adorable gorons are left completely helpless. I mean, they are at the verge of murdering each other because no one in the village can even make a baby stop crying. They solve this issue by standing around all day covering their ears and making use of their imagining Scarlett Johansson´s boobs superpower.

He also completely abandons his baby son to go on a life threatening journey knowing full well how useless he really is. He could have, at least, taken a couple of bodyguards to help him along the way. He instead sets off with the same preparation he uses when getting ready for sex, completely naked and alone.

If he had really died out there the consequences would have been catastrophic for his people. None of them seem to know how to keep a baby alive, thus killing off the only heir to the throne. None of them seem to have any real intelligence or leadership skills at all. Bottom line is, this event would have caused the gorons to die out quicker than a black guy in an action movie.

What Would It Be Like If The Wii U Had Achievements?

Nintendo has already said much about their next console at E3 this year. They’ve mentioned the controller, the features and the games… but what about achievements? What would happen if the Wii U obtained achievements, what would they look and be like? We’re here to show you.

WiiChevo’s - (We-cheev-ohs)

Yup that’s right. The unofficial name for my Wii U achievement presentation. I could have just went with Wii Achievements, or Wii Trophies but that’s too easy. I’m going to take it a step further. I started with a name, but now I’m going to show you what it would be like if the Wii U had achievements. Could you imagine playing the next Zelda and when you reach a point in the game you see this?

Similar to the 360′s achievement system, you see a pop up message with the name of the WiiChevo and stars. Yes stars. Every time you think of Nintendo you think of one character. Mario, and Mario has a ridiculous, stupid amount of stars everywhere. So why not implement a star system? Each WiiChevo is tied to a number of stars, the maximum being 3 stars. As you progress through each Wii U game you can obtain a total of 50 stars per game, similar to how 360 has a maximum of 1000G per game. You’re probably thinking, “Why does this matter? Who’s going to see this?”. So, I present you with this. The Wii U…. err Mii U Gamer Card thingy.

Wii U, Mii U, Pee U, Card Thingy

This would be the card you could share with your friends online, Nintendo forums etc. You have your “Wii U Picture” in the top left, followed by the number of total stars you’ve earned across all Nintendo games. On the far right is your last 4 played games. Below that is a quote you can set to describe yourself, and at the bottom of course is your Wii U Tag, or whatever Nintendo plans to call it. Now, of course one thing you do when browsing your collection of Achievements/Trophies is look at the nice little thumbnail picture it brings with each one. Since this entire article is about Wii U having achievements, I think it’s time I share a few that I’ve came up with myself.

What do you think? Could Nintendo really pull off some kind of achievement system for the Wii U? More importantly would it make you play games just for WiiChevo’s?

Face it, people love these things. It’s an addiction. Gamers will buy the shittiest game on the planet just so they can complete it in a few hours to get 1000G. If you’re the type of person who hates Achievements or Trophies, it’s possible you won’t have to worry with Nintendo, I’m just speculating, conceptualizing and having some fun. Just don’t expect Microsoft or Sony to give up on these things so easily.

Cosplay Spotlight: Link (The Legend of Zelda)

The great thing about video game icons is that they endure. Even after dozens of face-lifts and sequels, they stand the test of time and represent a memory unique to each of us. Perhaps one of the greatest characters on this short list of time-tested heroes is none other than Link.

To Hyrule!

PikminLink brings to life a beloved classic with her astounding craftsmanship. Not only is the costume gorgeous, but so is she. It’s hard to describe this quality, but she has this uncanny ability to portray a convincing male character, yet still appear so gracefully feminine while portraying a female one. She has a spectacular portfolio filled with costumes she crafted herself from various games, but her Legend of Zelda collection is what stands out.

Mmm. Tights.

She’s been featured on G4 and has appeared at dozens of cosplay events all over the world. Li showcases her work at sponsored events as well as general conventions, such as Comic Con. Play your cards right and you may even be able to book her for your next Zelda-themed office party.

3DS Augmented Reality Cards Revealed

Photos of all six of the Augmented Reality cards that will be bundled with the 3DS have been revealed and contain many major Nintendo characters. Seen on these cards are Mario, Link, Kirby, Samus, Pikmin, and the previously known Question Block card.

More details on the games that use the five newly revealed cards are currently unknown, but I think it’s a safe bet to say we MAY see some of these major characters appear in some of the Augmented Reality launch titles that will be pre-installed on every 3DS!

The King Nintendo Fanboy’s Collection Showcase: Link Crystal

This is a The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Link Crystal from the Nintendo World Store in New York City. This piece cost $399.99 . Nintendo began selling one new crystal for each year of the stores operation starting in 2005 through 2007. Link is the crystal for 2007. I hope you enjoy the video and pictures of this hard to come by Nintendo collectable.

Dark Link Figure Coming From First 4 Figures

High-end figure manufacturer First 4 Figures has just posted a teaser image for their latest upcoming figure from The Legend of Zelda series. Dark Link will go up for pre-order on 2/1/2011. More information such as price and more pictures will also be revealed on that day. Nintendo and Zelda fans should stay tuned for further information!

UPDATE:

ZeldaUniverse.net also has some exclusive new information on this figure. For starters the Dark Link figure will be about 12 inches tall and 9 inches wide. There will also be two versions of the figure. A standard version and a version that is exclusive to First4Figures.com. No word on the exact difference with the exclusive version but it is likely that this version will have red LED eyes.

One more detail is that since there is no official artwork of Dark Link, First 4 Figures was able to create their own pose for the character which Nintendo has approved!

Wolf Link And Midna Figures Now Available For Pre-Order

Pre-orders have just gone live for the Wolf Link and Midna figures from high-end figure manufacturer First 4 Figures. The Wolf Link and Midna figures are made at 1/4 scale and are 15 inches tall and 15.5 inches long.

First 4 Figures has two versions of this figure available for pre-order. In the standard version Midna’s hair is just a solid piece of the figure. The exclusive version of the figure, sold only on First4Figures.com, has the ability to have Midna’s hair light up. The standard version is being sold for $329.99 USD and the exclusive version is going for $349.99 USD. Both version of the figures are limited to 350 pieces world wide making it a must have for the die hard Zelda fan.

Wolf Link And Midna Figure Coming From First 4 Figures

High-end figure manufacture First 4 Figures has just revealed that the second figure their “Master Arts” range of 1/4 scale Zelda: Twilight Princess line will be Midna and Wolf Link. Preorders for this new figure will begin Tuesday November 30th.

Further details about the figure have been given to ZeldaUniverse.net. They have been told that the figure will be approximately 15 inches long and 15 inches tall. There will also be an exclusive version of the figure only available from First4Figures.com. It has also been revealed that it won’t be possible to remove Midna from Wolf Link’s back.

Every so often, a piece of fan art comes along that you makes you jump for joy, throw your fists in the air, and then pee in my pants. This is one of those times.
