by Rangebar Merani on November 17, 2008

Another highly stellar week of new game releases with the likes of Left 4 Dead, Need for Speed: Undercover, Shaun White Snowboarding, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and the surprisingly well-reviewed Last Remnant for the Xbox 360.

What are you guys thinking about picking up?  Is there something I failed to mention that you’re excited for? Let us know, but in the meanwhile hit the jump for my pick of the week and the full list of new games. Read more…

New Game Releases: Nov. 9 - Nov. 15

by Rangebar Merani on November 10, 2008

After a shitload of huge releases last week (Gears 2, Resistance 2, End War), it’s only natural for this week to keep the momentum rolling with big name games like Call of Duty: World at War on five platforms, Mirror’s Edge and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe both for the PS3 and 360, along with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, both for the 360.

Oh, and don’t let me forget about the Warcraft fiends out there, as World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King arrives this week as well. I’m sure they’ll be spending even more weeks months with their eyeballs glued to their computers.

Hit the jump for the full list of new game releases and my pick of the week. Read more…

Well if you thought choosing which games to play from last week’s new game releases was tough, just check out the list this week.

What about you guys? What games are y’all going to pick up? Hit the jump for my pick of the week. Read more…

New Game Releases: 10/26 - Nov. 1

by Rangebar Merani on October 27, 2008

Another great week in gaming with the likes of LittleBigPlanet, Fallout 3, Guitar Hero World Tour, Ninjatown and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift being released this week. I’m already losing enough sleep as it is playing Fable 2, SOCOM and COD: WaW Beta, but I think I can fit in one or two more games for the weekend.

And as for my pick of the week, it’s really hard to choose between LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3. Hit the jump to find out which way I swayed and to check out the full list of game releases. Read more…

New Game Releases: 10/20-10/26

by Rangebar Merani on October 20, 2008

Wow! That’s what describes this week in new game releases. It just seems like every week this fall is getting better and better. With games like Fable 2, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Legendary, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia and, hell, even Wii Music, it’s gonna be hard to choose which games to play.

Not to mention I’m still playing games that came out last week, jeez. I really don’t have enough time to play all these games. How about you guys? Which titles are y’all gonna pick up? Hit the jump for my pick of the week. Read more…

New Game Releases: 10/6 - 10/11

by Rangebar Merani on October 6, 2008

With the NBA season quickly approaching, we’ve got a handful of NBA games being released this week including NBA 2K9, NBA Live 09, NBA Live 09 All-Play and NBA ‘09: The Inside. Being a big NBA fan myself, I decided to make my pick of the week one of these basketball games, so hit the jump to find out which one I think will be best.

Not a basketball fan, eh? I’d say look out for LucasArts’ Fracture which is probably one of the best action games on the list, and Guilty Gear fans should check out the action spin-off game, Guilty Gear 2: Overture for the 360. Read more…

Another decent week in releases with Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood for the DS, Silent Hill Homecoming for the 360 and PS3 and Mega Man 9 finally hits Xbox Live on Wednesday. Y’all might want to check out Bomberman Blast on the WiiWare today as well. Read more…

New Game Releases: 9/22-9/28

by Rangebar Merani on September 23, 2008

A lot of games hitting stores this week, but none more exciting then Mega Man 9! Duh, we’ve all been waiting for this one. Other than that though, I’d say Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway looks good and Lego Batman should be fun. And the rest? Well, that’s up to you. Read more…

New Game Releases: 9/1-9/7

by Rangebar Merani on September 1, 2008

Labor Day week officially starts off the fall gaming season with some high anticipated releases such as FaceBreaker, Infinite Undiscovery, Mercenaries 2 and, of course, Wiil Wright’s Spore. One of the most surprising, and delightful, releases for me this week is the classic SNES RPG, Super Mario RPG for the Virtual Console.

All I got to say is wow, too much gaming already this past month, and with even more hit titles coming out in the next few weeks and months, it looks like we’re all gonna be broke. Read more…

New Game Releases: 8/25-8/31

by Rangebar Merani on August 25, 2008

This has easily got to be one of the best weeks for game releases this summer, and with fall quickly approaching, we needed one more big push of releases to end the summer off right.

There’s plenty of notable releases this week, including Tales of Vesperia for the 360, Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice for the PS3, Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii, and Tiger Woods 09 for multiple consoles.

Also a nice week for downloadable titles including Castle Crashers, the newest game from the makers of Alien Hominid, for the 360 and Helix, as well as Samurai Shodown II and Ys Book I & II for the Wii. Read more…

New Game Releases: 8/18 – 8/24

by Rangebar Merani on August 18, 2008

After ten years in the making and jumps from the PS One and Gamecube to the Xbox 360, Too Human is finally coming out this week and we’ll get to see if the game was truly worth the wait.

Other highlights of the week include Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty for the PS3, Two Worlds: Epic Edition for PC and I’m pretty hyped up for the original Mega Man for the Wii, via the Virtual Console. Read more…

New Game Releases: 8/11-8/17

by Rangebar Merani on August 11, 2008

Football season has finally arrived as Madden NFL 09 hits almost every game console including the original Xbox, but not the GameCube. The highly anticipated Bionic Commando: Rearmed also comes out this week hitting both the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network. A few other notable games are coming out too, but with Madden 09 being released, I won’t be playing any other game. Read more…

New Game Releases: 8/04-8/10

by Rangebar Merani on August 4, 2008

Okay, a lame week of game releases. No major titles and what makes it worse is that we were lied to about getting Mega Man 2 on the Virtual Console today, we were also told that Samurai Shodown II and Ys Book I & II were supposed to be released on the Virtual Console as well, but nope.

Oh, but a great week to be a Disney Channel fan, with both The Cheetah Girls: Passport to Stardom and Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour. My kid sister would love these games. A lame week indeed.

New Game Releases: 7/28-8/02

by Rangebar Merani on July 28, 2008

This week’s selection of game releases seems to be one of the better weeks of the summer so far with the release of the highly anticipated Soul Calibur IV, and a host of new games coming out for the Wii including MLB Power Pros 2008 and SNK Arcade Classic Vol. 1.

PC gamers also get a really good week with a bunch of releases including Beijing Olympics 2008, City Life 2008 Edition and Everlight. As for downloadable content, be on the watch for Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 for the Xbox Live Arcade and if you’re really bored, you might want to even check out Pong Toss-Frat Party Games for the WiiWare, which is essentially a Beer Pong game without the beer. Weird, I know. Have a good week in gaming!

New Game Releases: 7/20-7/26

by Rangebar Merani on July 22, 2008

Alright, another week of summer game releases. My pick of the week is easy: Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS, an old-school classic deserving a remake. Unfortunately, other than that, nothing else really tickles my fancy.

But I’d recommend checking out some of the downloadable titles like 1942: Joint Strike and Go! Go! Break. And if you’re a movie buff, you might like The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor for the Wii, PS2, or DS. Have a good week of gaming. Read more…

New Game Releases: 7/14-7/19

by Rangebar Merani on July 15, 2008

With all the focus on E3, let’s not forget about the games being released this week. The biggest release of the week is easily NCAA Football 09, which is coming out for every console but the DS.

I’d also recommend checking out Major League Eating: The Game on WiiWare (only $10) and We Love Golf for the Wii, which is developed by Camelot, makers of the Mario Golf games.

You might also want to download Double D Dodgeball for the Xbox Live Arcade.CHeck out Jon Zungre’s impressions of the game here. Read more…
