New Games Releases: 11/15 – 11/22

by Chad Lakkis on November 16, 2009 at 11:17 pm

game-release-weeklyripten34

From Sunday to Sunday, we bring you the new game releases for each week like a UPS driver speeding through a red light for a nooner in the Desperate Housewives section of town.

This week is loaded with games sure to leave you wallet void of everything but sales receipts, gum wrappers, and fake phone numbers from uninterested dating prospects.

Heading off the list would have to be the we can “absolutely” outsell Modern Warfare 2 “New Super Mario Bros. Wii” title for the Nintendo Wii. I’ll have to admit that I was not really into this game at first but having seen a few videos I realized I miss the straight forward “rescue the princes” plot and classic overhead level selection screen. The only problem for me is I’ll have to finally give in and  pick up a Nintendo Wii.

Other notable store shelf additions include Assassin’s Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2, NCAA Basketball 10, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and Tony Hawk Ride.

Full list of releases broken down by console available below. Let us know what you plan on picking up in the comment section below. We may laugh at you, but we won’t resort to physical abuse or name calling. That’s a promise. Read more…

With Guitar Hero 5, Champions Online and Mini Ninjas coming out this week, it looks like a great start in new game releases for September. Not to mention that the PS3 Slim is officially released on Tuesday, September 1. Hit the jump for the full list of new games coming out this week, along with my pick of the week.

New Game Releases: 8/23 – 8/29

Some big time games coming out this week including Batman: Arkham Asylum, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, Dissidia Final Fantasy and Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. I’m pumped for the new Batman title, as any of you who played the demo should know it’s pretty dope and for those who missed out on any of the Metroid Prime games for the Gamecube, here’s your chance to catch up and get all three games for the price of one. Final Fantasy owners should be excited for Dissidia Final Fantasy, the PSP brawler featuring a variety of FF characters, finally coming out and giving PSP owners something to look out for.

Oh, and you might have noticed that Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger was on last week’s new release list, but it was pushed back to this week. Hit the jump for the full list of new games this week and my pick of the week.

The end of summer is creeping up slowly, which means not much longer for the fall season of video game releases. But before we get too hyped up, we’ve still got to get by these last few weeks of mediocre game releases. Wolfenstein and Raven Squad headline this week in new games with other notable titles such as Shadow Complex and Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2 being digitally released. Hit the jump for the full list of new games coming out and my pick of the week.

It’s that time of the year football fanatics! Madden NFL 10 is finally coming out this week and should easily sell a gazillion copies in it’s first week. Other than Madden, not much else that interesting to me this week, but Marvel vs. Capcom 2 does finally hit the PS3. Hit the jump for the full list of new games this week. Read more…

This week in new games is a pretty good one especially because of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled coming out on the Xbox Live Arcade. Other notable titles include G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (to coincide with the movie release), SouthPeak’s Brave: A Warrior’s Tale and new DLC for Fallout 3, Mothership Zeta. And don’t let me forget to mention Daisy Fuentes Pilates on the Wii for all you workout freaks. Hit the jump for the full list of new games this week and my pick of the week.

New Game Releases: 7/26 – 8/1

This week in new games may seem like a slow one with only a handful of releases, but with Wii Sports Resort with the Wii MotionPlus and The King of Fighters XII hitting stores, this is actually one of the better weeks we’ve had this summer. Oh, and not to mention Wii Sports Resort is bound to be one of this year’s best-selling games by selling a gazillion copies. Nintendo sure knows how to make that money. Hit the jump for the full list of new game releases and my pick of the week.

Blah! Another slow and crappy week for new game releases. If you’re a fan of the upcoming G-Force movie, I’m sure you’ll be pleased to see that the game is coming out for like every console. Other than that there’s the Rock Band Country Track Pack, Watchmen: The End is Nigh for the PS3 and 360 and Little King’s Story for the Wii. And that’s literally all we got coming out this week. A crappy week fo sho. Read more…

Another slow week in the summer for new game releases. The two big ones coming out this week are The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition and NCAA Football 10, but nothing much after that. I never played Secret of Monkey Island before, so I might have to hit up the Xbox Live Arcade and check that out (I’m not a PC gamer by any means). Hit the jump for the full list of new games this week and my pick of the week.

Ghostbusters fans rejoice! Ghostbusters, once a game thought to have been canceled and thrown out, has finally arrived this week for about every major console (except for PSP). Wow, by the looks of things this is gonna be one hot summer! Summer game releases use to be rare, but this year is totally different with Prototype, Tiger Woods 10, Indiana Jones, Virtua Tennis, and don’t forget Starfy, all coming out this week alone. And it’s not even officially summer yet for a few more weeks. The Wii MotionPlus also comes out this week just in time to use with Tiger Woods 10. I know we’re all excited for E3 09 this week and to see what new games are gonna be shown and announced, but there’s still a few games actually hitting stores this week.

The biggest title coming out has to be the long-awaited release of The Sims 3 for the PC. The Wii is taking the week off, but the DS picks up the slack for Nintendo with a handful of titles, while the 360 and PS3 each get FUEL and Red Faction: Guerrilla. Easily one of the best weeks in new game releases in awhile, this week features the long-awaited release of Punch-Out!! for the Wii, along with the revival of a classic in Bionic Commando for the 360 and PS3. Other notable titles include Terminator Salvation (coinciding with the release of the movie), UFC 2009 Undisputed and the Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock, which is essentially DLC of 20 songs but now in a retail release. This week in new game releases is a bit better than the past few with X-Men Origins: Wolverine hitting all consoles and the WWII stealth action of Velvet Assassin for the 360 and PC. Oh, and as reported earlier, Stalin vs. Martians was delayed from last week and pushed to this week, so watch out for that as well. Read more…
