New Game Releases: Dec. 28 – Jan. 3

by Rangebar Merani on December 29, 2008 at 11:20 am

Another dull week in game releases, so that means we won’t have to spend any money on video games unless you want a copy of Hurry Up Hedgehog! or Pirates: Duel on the HIgh Seas, but I highly doubt it. Hopefully all of you had a great Christmas and got the game you really wanted as a gift, because there really ain’t shit to buy this week. Hit the jump for the list of games releases. Read more…

New Game Releases: Dec. 21 – Dec. 27

by Rangebar Merani on December 22, 2008 at 8:31 pm

This week in games is so pitiful, I mean really sad. They might as well not have released anything because this shit is crap. Like for real, this week in releases isn’t even worth having its own post, but I felt like I had to let you guys know that there isn’t shit coming out this week. Read more…

New Game Releases: Nov. 16 – Nov. 22

by Rangebar Merani on November 17, 2008 at 11:27 am

Another highly stellar week of new game releases with the likes of Left 4 Dead, Need for Speed: Undercover, Shaun White Snowboarding, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and the surprisingly well-reviewed Last Remnant for the Xbox 360.

What are you guys thinking about picking up?  Is there something I failed to mention that you’re excited for? Let us know, but in the meanwhile hit the jump for my pick of the week and the full list of new games. Read more…

New Game Releases: Nov. 9 – Nov. 15

by Rangebar Merani on November 10, 2008 at 4:46 pm

After a shitload of huge releases last week (Gears 2, Resistance 2, End War), it’s only natural for this week to keep the momentum rolling with big name games like Call of Duty: World at War on five platforms, Mirror’s Edge and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe both for the PS3 and 360, along with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, both for the 360.

Oh, and don’t let me forget about the Warcraft fiends out there, as World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King arrives this week as well. I’m sure they’ll be spending even more weeks months with their eyeballs glued to their computers.

Hit the jump for the full list of new game releases and my pick of the week. Read more…

New Game Releases: Nov. 2 – Nov. 8

by Rangebar Merani on November 3, 2008 at 2:06 pm

Well if you thought choosing which games to play from last week’s new game releases was tough, just check out the list this week.

With the two of the biggest games of the season coming out this week, Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2, and another handful of great games including 007: Quantum of Solace, Legendary and Tom Clancy’s End War, we here at Ripten are going to be crazy busy.

What about you guys? What games are y’all going to pick up? Hit the jump for my pick of the week. Read more…

New Game Releases: 10/26 – Nov. 1

by Rangebar Merani on October 27, 2008 at 2:38 pm

Another great week in gaming with the likes of LittleBigPlanet, Fallout 3, Guitar Hero World Tour, Ninjatown and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift being released this week. I’m already losing enough sleep as it is playing Fable 2, SOCOM and COD: WaW Beta, but I think I can fit in one or two more games for the weekend.

And as for my pick of the week, it’s really hard to choose between LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3. Hit the jump to find out which way I swayed and to check out the full list of game releases. Read more…

New Game Releases: 10/20-10/26

by Rangebar Merani on October 20, 2008 at 2:15 pm

Wow! That’s what describes this week in new game releases. It just seems like every week this fall is getting better and better. With games like Fable 2, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Legendary, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia and, hell, even Wii Music, it’s gonna be hard to choose which games to play.

Not to mention I’m still playing games that came out last week, jeez. I really don’t have enough time to play all these games. How about you guys? Which titles are y’all gonna pick up? Hit the jump for my pick of the week. Read more…

New Game Releases this Week: 10/13 – 10/19

by Rangebar Merani on October 13, 2008 at 6:13 pm

Talk about a week in game releases, this one is hot. With Dead Space, FIFA Soccer 2009 and (finally!) SOCOM: Confrontation all hitting stores this week, it looks like we’re all gonna be busy and broke.

I could’ve gone many ways in my decision for pick of the week, but I had to narrow it down to one great title. Check out my pick of the week and the full list of game releases after the jump. Read more…

New Game Releases: 9/8-9/14

by Rangebar Merani on September 8, 2008 at 10:49 am

After a huge release of games last week, this week seems a lot more chill with releases like Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise for the DS, TNA Impact! for the 360 and PS3, and Hell’s Kitchen for both the Wii and DS.

Hockey’s back in season with the release of NHL 2009 and NHL 2K9 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and for the first time Wii fans will finally be able to get in on the ice with the debut of 2K9 on Nintendo’s console. Read more…

New Game Releases: 8/25-8/31

by Rangebar Merani on August 25, 2008 at 10:46 am

This has easily got to be one of the best weeks for game releases this summer, and with fall quickly approaching, we needed one more big push of releases to end the summer off right.

There’s plenty of notable releases this week, including Tales of Vesperia for the 360, Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice for the PS3, Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii, and Tiger Woods 09 for multiple consoles.

Also a nice week for downloadable titles including Castle Crashers, the newest game from the makers of Alien Hominid, for the 360 and Helix, as well as Samurai Shodown II and Ys Book I & II for the Wii. Read more…

New Game Releases: 8/11-8/17

by Rangebar Merani on August 11, 2008 at 11:23 am

Football season has finally arrived as Madden NFL 09 hits almost every game console including the original Xbox, but not the GameCube. The highly anticipated Bionic Commando: Rearmed also comes out this week hitting both the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network. A few other notable games are coming out too, but with Madden 09 being released, I won’t be playing any other game. Read more…

New Game Releases This Week: 7/07 – 7/13

by Rangebar Merani on July 7, 2008 at 2:13 pm

Being the first full week in July, we have a decent amount of games hitting store shelves this week, but sadly another week passes without any PSP releases.

Unreal Tournament 3 finally comes to the Xbox 360, with the preview of Gears of War 2 that was leaked on to the web just over a week ago, and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon hits the Wii, both of which are easily my picks of the week.

Olympics fans can also check out the Beijing Olympics 2008 game, available on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. Hit the jump for a full list of games released this week. Read more…
