If Rock Band DLC keeps pouring in every week, it’s only a matter of time before your favorite band makes it in (if they haven’t already). Harmonix mixed it up a little this week with some Iron Maiden, Stone Temple Pilots, and the Hives. Details after the break.

Hearing our bemoaning of the cover tracks last week, Harmonix did things right this week by only making a third (yay for math!) of the songs “as made famous by” editions.

The only cover version of a song is Iron Maiden’s Number of the Beast, and once you’ve rocked your way through that, you can enjoy the sweet sounds of original master tracks of the Hives’ Die, All Right! and Stone Temple Pilots’ Interstate Love Song.

Also keeping with the trend of last week, each of the songs will cost a hard earned 160 MSP ($1.99). Even though it’s still $2 a pop, at least it’ll be easily accessible on PSN/XBLM as opposed to a magazine.

In sharp contrast to last week’s DLC, this week Harmonix takes it back, way back. You’re also gonna have to pay a premium, as prices go back up from last week’s 80 MSP ($1) to the regular 160 MSP ($2) for each song. Also contrasting last week is the amount of covers as opposed to the original master tracks.

The only original track comes from Lyrnyrd Skynyrd in the form of their song Gimme Three Steps. Along with Lynyrd, there are also covers of Black Crowes’ Hard to Handle and Rush’s Limelight

So, what’re you waiting for old timer? Get over to your local PSN/XBLM and download some of your favorites from back in the day.
