Over forty new Final Fantasy XIII images were released today giving us a closer look at the game’s Crystarium leveling system, enemy stomping Chocobos, and the summoned Alexander. In addition, a few screens show off the various backdrops in the game — everything from lush green fields to colorfully lit theme park type environment. Have at them, and enjoy the weekend.

The team at BioWare released a few new Mass Effect 2 screens for us to chew on over the weekend. How nice of them.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s so close I can taste it, but with a Spring 2010 release date announced, I can certainly start day dreaming about playing it soon. The new FFXIII screens available after the jump showcase English text and reintroduce Oerba Yun Fang, first seen at Tokyo Game Show.

Here are some new screenshots of the upcoming Banjo Kazooie 3, which is on track for a Christmas 2008 release.

Personally, it’s just great to see something colourful on next-gen systems compared to the normal grey-wash of the Unreal Engine.

A handful of new Silent Hill 5 screens appeared on the official website today, and some of them are downright impressive while others are simply bland. Check them all out after the jump.

Some notable elements include the fog (featured in about half of these screens), the body bag, the bathroom floor, and the flashlight effects. Can the new U.S. developer do a good job with this series? Based just on these latest screens, my interest has actually just gone up.

The latest issue of Jump featured screens from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII and its seemingly obligatory spin-offs. They look good.

I won’t talk much about them because you and I both know that all you care about are the scans. The following scans are predominately of Final Fantasy XIII proper. FFXIII Versus and Agito get a measly one scan each.

Monster Madness: EX builds off the base set by the original Monster Madness: Battle For Suburbia (released earlier this year on Xbox 360). Taking on the role of four intrepid teenagers, players will set out to save their town from the evil that’s been unleashed.

Hopefully the gameplay has been improved from the original, but with tightened controls, 25 new levels, a host of mini-games, a polished camera, newly built in extras and 4 player co-op, the developers have been working hard.

Monster Madness Ex for the PS3 also includes:

Online Co-Op Adventure Mode – The entire Adventure Story is now playable cooperatively online and off by up to 4 players.

Character Customization – Player characters are now customizable with over 100 purchasable (in-game currency) power-up accessory items.
