Gearbox Creative Lead Calls Eventual Borderlands 2 Release “No-Brainer”
by Dylan Duarte on November 11, 2009 at 9:31 pm
In an interview about Borderlands, the creative director for Gearbox said that a Borderlands 2 seemed like a no-brainer.
“Everyone here loves the franchise, and it seems like the public is really coming back with praise and love. So yeah, if everything makes sense, Borderlands 2 seems like a no-brainer to me.”
That’s what Mike Neumann said in an interview with VG247. He went on to say that it just makes sense to do a sequel, but they’re still working on DLC content for the original and it’s just watercooler talk at this point.
Bethesda Has No Plans for The Elder Scrolls V
by Demi Adejuyigbe on August 15, 2009 at 1:31 pmBad news for anyone who was a fan of TESIV: Oblivion or TESIII: Morrowind (or should I say, anyone who playes TESIV: Oblivion or TESIII: Morrowind)- Bethesda says they have made no plans for a fifth game in the series.
At QuakeCon 09, a fan asked Bethesda’s Todd Howard if their future plans included a fifth Elder Scrolls game. But rather than give a flat out “Not gonna happen” and destroy the hopes of millions, Howard simply gave the standard “we have no plans for that game at this time” answer, which, unsurprisingly, still crushes the hopes of millions.
A second fan asked if there were any plans for an Elder Scrolls MMO as rumored, and Howard said “There’s always a chance.” For those of you not as skilled in the art of PR talk, that’s practically a “Hell yeah, its coming!”

First Teaser Trailer for Ubisoft’s Rabbids Go Home
by Demi Adejuyigbe on May 9, 2009 at 8:34 pmUbisoft’s lovable little leporines will soon be hitting the Wii again, but this time not in mini-game form. Rabbids Go Home is the 4th in the Rabbids franchise, but this time, the goal of the game is to collect as much stuff as you can, and get the rabbids back home… to the moon.
The teaser trailer doesn’t show any footage of the game itself, but the way ThatVideogameBlog describes it, it sounds Katamari-esque in nature. Ubisoft will be showing more of the game next month, as it’s part of their line-up for E3, but for now all we’ve got is the trailer and a couple of screenshots which you can see after the jump.
Assassin’s Creed 2 Finally Confirmed, Ubisoft needs hype
by Sam Naylor on November 28, 2008 at 10:38 am
Rumours of an Assassin’s Creed sequel have been spreading about since Assassin’s Creed came out, but Ubisoft have finally confirmed that they are “working hard on” the sequel. After the recent talk about the game being set in the 1700s, this may not be a surprise to many. However, the kicker in this story is that Ubisoft are quoted as saying Assassin’s Creed 2 will only arrive once there is “more anticipation for it.” Maybe if Ubisoft had spent more time making more than 3 mission types for the first game ten this one would have more hype, right? Right?

Rumor: Mega Man 9 On The Way?
by Rangebar Merani on June 14, 2008 at 4:42 pm
I’ve been waiting for the next real Mega Man game for quite some time. And no, I’m not talking about one of the dozens of spin-offs that have come out in recent years. I’m talking about a real Mega Man game, without all the X’s and Z’s added to the titles.
The last real Mega Man game to hit the U.S., excluding 2003’s Game Boy Advance title Mega Man & Bass, was 1997’s Mega Man 8 for the original Playstation, which was one bad-ass game. Read more…

by Patrick Steen on May 27, 2008 at 1:54 pm

There was always hope Heavenly Sword would give birth to a sequel that was “bigger and better than ever before.” At least that’s what we thought when we received a batch of new concept art from Ninja Theory. Not only were our hopes dashed, but they’ve now been pummeled into believing there will never be a Heavenly Sword sequel. Nariko is dead. Read more…
