This week’s edition of Video Game Deals of the Week features a combination of last minute promotions and other savings.

Activision has officially announced today that it has named internal studio Beenox as the official developer of all new Spider-man titles. Beenox had developed the generally well-regarded Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions that released last year.

It will contain the new ‘Cosmic’ costume which will grant the wearer a new “signature charge attack”.

Before I dig into this review, it’s only fair that I make a few things crystal clear to you, the reader. Number one, I am a huge Spider-Man fan.

Lots of games coming out this week including Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, NHL 11, R.U.S.E., Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 and some big time handheld games with Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (PSP) and Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (DS). The summer video game drought is officially over!
