Nintendo is releasing a redesigned black Wii bundle which will be heading to North America.

Nintendo of America has just revealed that four new titles will soon be part of the budget Nintendo Selects line for the Wii.

2007 ended on a great note for Nintendo, with both the Wii and the DS being insanely successful. However, according to the first Japanese software chart of 2008, they’re just getting started.

This man has a hold on you. Merry Christmas, Nintendo! For the second year in a row, the Nintendo Wii is one of the must-have holiday items. And although I’m completely aware of the console’s success, I was still pleasantly surprised to see just how well the company was doing on Amazon.

Seth Schiesel of the New York Times is handing out yearly awards to various games and while most of the choices are no-brainers, there is one that kind of grinds my gears.

According to sales estimates by The simExchange, Nintendo utterly demolished its rivals in sales last month, selling over a million copies of Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. The next best-selling software was Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360, which sold over 800,000 units.

The latest sales are in from Japan for the week starting 12/11 and ending 18/11, and surprisingly, the PS3 is holding on in there with its new 40GB model, fighting off Nintendo’s Wii for another week. The notoriously critical UK Magazine has revealed its December edition scores. Another 10 is given, but not to a PS3 or Xbox360 game. Interesting scores this month, with Assassin’s Creed and Mass Effect getting the same score. Find out after the jump.
