A new teaser for Max Payne 3 was supposedly leaked today, and although it contains some incorrect information (the game was already delayed to 2010, so it’s not coming in winter of 2009) the teaser is looking incredible.

I can’t say the same for Mr. Payne, however. He could really use a shave and a clean shirt. Perhaps even a bald wig. I knew this one kid who was bald. Not because of a genetic disorder or a sickness, though, it was by choice. He looked hilarious wearing a wig. One day he wore an afro to school just to mess with everybody. I think his name was Derrick. Maybe it was David. I don’t know. What ever happened to that kid?

I forgot what I was talking about. Max Payne 3? Bullet-time? Have I already made a “hammer time!” joke? Okay, well let’s just throw one of those in here and call it a day.

The Editor-in-Chief of Game Informer, Andy McNamara, has hinted on his Twitter page that the next issue of the magazine will have new information on Assassin’s Creed in some form. Until then, head here to look at a Da Vinci- styled video which has no useful information on the sequel other than, well, it’s likely to have some Da Vinci theme in there somewhere; probably that the game will be set in Italy at around that time period.

Let’s hope that they manage to take the good bits from the first game and build a game around that, instead of the frustrating and poorly designed bits. I think what I’m trying to say is “make a good game this time, please”.

Yesterday, The Behemoth developer studios released the first image from their next game, tentatively titled Block-Headed Man Wearing Professor Layton’s Hat Cries At Green Gem While Robot Army Lurks Behind Him*. The name fits very well, as the image you see above from the game depicts a block-headed man wearing Professor Layton’s Hat while crying at a green gem as a robot army lurks behind him- as well as a cash register!

Aside from the profusion of things this image tells us, we also know that The Behemoth plans to release a trailer for the game on March 18th, to coincide with the births of Queen Latifah, Dane Cook, and Vanessa Williams! Coincidence? That’s preposterous!

A few days ago, Range posted that Capcom would be revealing a new game on the Xbox Marketplace today. Well, that game has turned out to be Lost Planet 2. The teaser can be found here, or directly on your 360.

Gamezine have dug up a lot of information on the new game; the new game will feature new environments including melting snow and jungles, and is likely to have many co-op features- mechs with passenger seats, anyone? Plus, the story will feature perspectives from different factions this time around, and Jun Takeuchi, the producer of Resident Evil 5, will be helping out with the game. All I can say is, Capcom are doing a good job of earning our money this year.

As a longtime Fallout fan, the possibilities of Fallout 3 have me quite excited.  When I saw the first teaser for the game, I got goose bumps.  Now Bethesda unleashes this “new” trailer over a year later, and it is almost the same trailer all over again!

Do you see what I’m saying? The new trailer is basically the old trailer except a lot shorter and with a television instead of a radio. If this is the kind of “creativity” that’s going into this game, then I’m suddenly not very excited any more.

Hopefully Bethesda’s advertising skills are not indicative of their actual game design skills. I can’t say I’m looking forward to an open-world role-playing game that consists of a hundred hours’ worth of quests that all have me slowly backing away from a media device while listening to music from the turn of the century only to discover that the world around me is all blown up and shit.

I’m crossing my fingers that they show something that’s actually good at E3, like, I don’t know, some gameplay or something.

One of the best RPG titles ever made (in my opinion) is getting some much deserved face time with the Nintendo DS.

The two minute plus teaser trailer (revealed this morning on the official site) does not highlight any of the touch screen capabilities or feature any in game dual screen action. It is essentially a fancy slide show trip down memory lane. If you are into that stuff, have at it after the jump.

A mysterious flash teaser site hit the web today, courtesy of Ubisoft Canada, and within hours it was causing quite a stir on gaming news site N4G, as well as several game related message boards.

The short flash teaser shows a blood covered feather slowly drifting downward towards a white surface. DNA type information flashes on the screen at two points during the feathers decent, along with the words “Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. November 14th, 2007. Be prepared …”.

Some fans believe it is hinting at a possible suprise, while others say it is just an attempt to hype up the games release date. Assuming the game ships on the 13th as expected, the date it would be available for sale in stores would most likely be the 14th.

The 14th also happens to be the same date mentioned in the teaser, which is causing a great deal of confusion and debate. Our very own, Michael Bencic, who resides in Canada forwarded me the information about the trailer this morning. However since we both looked at it and thought two different things, we decided to contact Ubisoft Canada for an official comment via email before going forward with a story about a teaser that could end up being nothing more than a way to promote the games release.

It is important to note that Michael has been working with Ubisoft Canada and his contact Katia, for some time now. He emailed her asking for clarification and she responded “lol. Can’t tell… be patient…”. Armed with an official response, be it brief, Michael and I discussed the response, the teaser, and weighed the obvious exclusions that would point to it being a release date reminder.

Having dealt with many PR firms, we believe that if it was a release date reminder, there would most likely be some sort of means to drive sales and ramp pre-orders for the game. Being that there is no “click here to pre-order the game” button leads us to believe that this is more than just a means to promote the games release. To find out what it is exactly though, we are all apparently going to need to “be patient”.
