Warner Bros Working to Fix Missing Arkham City Saves

Since its release on the 360, Batman: Arkham City players have been reporting missing saves. Unlike the Dark Knight in the game, these saves don’t swoop from their perch, lift you in the air, and put you in a chokehold. Until today, WB hasn’t said anything about the save glitch. They’ve got a survey up that asks the following questions:

What version of the XBOX 360 hardware are you are experiencing the “disappearing save files” issue on?

What storage method are you using to save your Batman: Arkham City game files to (i.e. XBOX 360 hard drive, XBOX 360 memory unit, USB drive)?

What version of the XBOX 360 system software do you have on your machine?

Are you running a Beta version of the forthcoming XBOX 360 “Holiday 2011″ system update?

Have you experienced the “disappearing save files” issue before and/or after installing any Batman: Arkham City DLC content (If yes, please be specific as to the DLC content you have downloaded)?

Have you experienced the “disappearing save files” issue before and/or after installing either of Batman: Arkham City’s two title updates?

Once you’ve gotten the questions filled out, send them to support@wbgames and hope that a fix comes soon. Maybe they’ll shine the GeekSquad signal and have someone help them out.

WB and Rocksteady even gave him his own trailer:

The Nightwing Bundle Pack will be available November 1 on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for 560 Microsoft Points and PlayStation®Network for $6.99. The Robin Bundle Pack will also become available on November 22 to all owners of the game for the same price.

F.E.A.R. 3 “Fking Run!” Multiplayer Trailer Gets Fking Nuts

A short time ago, we went over the multiplayer modes that had been announced for F.E.A.R. 3. Well, a new trailer has been released, showing off one of the more interesting modes: “F**king Run!”

In this mode, players must work together to escape Alma’s wall of death:

We played some F**king run back at PAX East and can say that it get’s pretty f**king crazy. Teamwork is definitely a factor. If any player dies or gets caught by the wall of death… it’s game over.

F.E.A.R. 3 is set to release on June 21 on PS3, 360, and PC.

The Riddler Invades Arkham City

Riddle me this gamers. Everyone’s favorite merry prankster has taken part in the madness of Arkham City, and only the Dark Knight can put a stop to his shenanigans!

Apparently the Riddler will play a significant role in Arkham City, even though he is not the main villain.

According to our friends over at Dtoid, Rocksteady said that:

“The Riddler experience is not part of the main story… but you can see how much work we put into it. It seems to do them a disservice to call them ‘side missions,’ because we take them really, really seriously.”

Warner Bros. Announces Blu-Ray Exclusivity

No longer the Switzerland of the format war, Warner Bros. has decided to throw its weight behind Sony’s hi-def disc and only Sony’s hi-def disc.

The reason for the switch is consumer confusion, which has been a concern from the start of the HD wars. Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer tells it like it is:

The window of opportunity for high-definition DVD could be missed if format confusion continues to linger. We believe that exclusively distributing in Blu-ray will further the potential for mass market success and ultimately benefit retailers, producers, and most importantly, consumers.

And that’s some bad news for HD-DVD, whose lone stalwarts remain Toshiba, Microsoft (almost solely to take a bite out of Sony’s cross-platform marketing with the PS3), Paramount, and NBC Universal.

Powerful as those studios may be, WB controls most of the home video market with a commanding 18 to 20 percent of sales. And let’s not forget their megastar franchises: The Matrix, Harry Potter, Batman to name a few.

For those that had anticipated upcoming films, the company will continue to churn out HD-DVD releases until late May, but they’ll lag behind their DVD and Blu-ray counterparts.
